These are fantastic by the way. At full blast it's quieter than my oscillating fan on medium speed.
Way worth it to be able to return to store and deal with local HD rather than Amazon customer service (good luck).
Awesome, stackable with military discount! Thanks OP!

Definitely not the case for the 12k BTU Midea, but it is nice and quiet if it's at/near temp and just maintaining it. Mine modulates itself between ~550W for max cooling down to about 90W just to gradually maintain temp.

Great deal. I purchased the 8K Midea from Amazon for $249 with an estimated delivery of 9/14. The HD one says it will deliver on 9/11. Considering cancelling the Amazon one and getting this to save $10 and get it a few days sooner, but not sure it's worth it.

I like the noise....more concerned about the energy saving, anyone do any research or experiment with an energy kasa plug for example? Thanks

Great deal! IMO This Midea is the best unit on the market & usually costs more than the garbage window air units with high energy consumption and high noise.

I sure have. I'm doing in depth research for my off grid solar system. I have 4 varying midea window units each on their own energy monitoring. What information would you like? I've collected all sorts of data.

Just because it's not 12k doesn't mean it's not a good unit. From people who have both, the 8k is apparently substantially quieter if you just need it for a bedroom.

That said, the 12k is really quite capable. We've had several 90 degree days recently and the 12k btu in an upstairs bedroom blowing outward through the door and downstairs actually managed to keep my whole house pretty cool

If you are serious then the kwh ballpark a night use. Last night it used 2.69 kwh, probably 8 hours thanks
