These are fantastic by the way. At full blast it's quieter than my oscillating fan on medium speed.

Way worth it to be able to return to store and deal with local HD rather than Amazon customer service (good luck).

Great deal. I purchased the 8K Midea from Amazon for $249 with an estimated delivery of 9/14. The HD one says it will deliver on 9/11. Considering cancelling the Amazon one and getting this to save $10 and get it a few days sooner, but not sure it's worth it.
I did the same. I just contacted Amazon support and they were actually willing to give $20 promotional credit so I accepted it.

If you are serious then the kwh ballpark a night use. Last night it used 2.69 kwh, probably 8 hours thanks
I can't figure out if you're asking or telling….looks like you already have your own data.

Obviously it completely depends on outside temp, inside temp, and set/demand temp. For instance last night it was on average 75 outside. At 10pm it was 72* in my 12' x 15' bedroom with set temp of 70*. I had it on low fan speed (40% fan speed), and it used right at 1.6 kWh between 10pm and 8am. So it averaged 160 watts over 10 hours.

I have this 8k unit. It crapped out in a YR. I purchased another one but also grabbed a 4yr added warranty. Since it's such a lower price than normal it's worth adding.

8k unit out of stock

Edit: Weird, for some reason on my phone it showed out of stock when I tried to check out. I was able to complete the purchase on my desktop.

Just because it's not 12k doesn't mean it's not a good unit. From people who have both, the 8k is apparently substantially quieter if you just need it for a bedroom.

That said, the 12k is really quite capable. We've had several 90 degree days recently and the 12k btu in an upstairs bedroom blowing outward through the door and downstairs actually managed to keep my whole house pretty cool
Midea is best window hands down.. it's basically a mini split the performance is amazing. In the south we have a lot of 100+ degrees days was able to keep up very well.

How do I check everything is working and nothing is damaged. Also, is there any way to check without setting it up because summer is practically over and plan to set it up next summer?

I'm telling you what my current ac draws and comparing it to your data.

So in 10 hours mine probably uses 3 kwh where yours uses 1.6, roughly 50% less. Thanks for your assistance 👍

Uh, visually inspect it for cracks/dents? And you can literally just plug it in in a garage or whatever and see if it runs & cools.
