Perfect bike that 99% of amateur racers will be as fast as anyone on the road riding. Maybe if you're a cat1/pro rider, shaving a pound or two with an $8k+ bike might help a touch on a hilly race but it is hard to improve over this without spending double.

You can call and give them the stock number and they will take a closer look at internal notes not disclosed to the customer. I bought my Outlet mountain bike that way and it arrived flawless (and needing a major rear derailleur adjustment I couldn't do myself and that they reimbursed me for).
In that case keep your eyes out for an Endurace they sent that had scratches all over it and just went back for a refund….
