When I got my 2005 it had the (then) brand new Burstbucker Pro zebra pickups. I thought they were way too hot for the guitar and switched them for SD Whole Lotta Humbucker pickups. The Slash pickups in your guitar are fine, just not my cup of tea. Never been a fan of Alnico 2 pickups.

Interested to hear if anyone actually received an order for a used item using the 15% code.

Finally had someone call me about the screwup on my order and they were like 'Yeah, sorry about that man' and said they'd hook me up with a 15% discount on another purchase. I was like 'You mean the same 15% discount everyone gets?'

I'm starting to think of these guys as Scam Cash.

I'd wager that some employee at that store probably mistagged it and didn't bother to check before shipping it out. Heard a few stories of the same thing at GC where something like a K Con ride was tagged as a lower-tier cymbal and vice-versa.

Still think it's nice of them to at least offer something though. I know for sure they don't do 15% promo codes all the time, but it happens frequently enough that if you can wait it's better to.

i bought a hardly used Les Paul R8 VOS custom from Sam Ash. I called them in advance to get more pics and ask a couple of questions and they took copious extra pics and made sure to check pickups to ensure all-original. Shipped that afternoon and arrived next day exactly as described (one day transit NY to Bos). I bought a used Am Std Tele from a GC in Georgia. All original, ship in original case. They shipped without the case and the guitar arrived with a chip out of the body (floating in the bubble wrap). I was able to rescue the GC deal but still... Crap like that happens. Hopefully rare and when it does, making it right is what I would be most concerned with.

Ok…I've cooled off. Tried a new Ultra Jazz bass in my local shop and it's one of the best things I've ever felt in my hands lol. Local shop said best they'd do is 10% off. Welp, my PayPal app showed 8% cash back thru Sam Ash, and the 15% coupon still works, so… not a steal like I had on the order that got mucked up, but the slickest deal I could find new (hope I didn't jinx anything lol)

This deal is flaky! I had a guitar in cart, applied the coupon and was pleased to see the discount. I looked back through and decided to buy a slightly more expensive guitar and added that to the cart. The discount is gone! When I applied the code again, it says not valid. Sam Ash-hole!

Are you adding a filler item?

EDIT: Coupon code is dead it seems. Best code that works now is SAVE for 10% off
