Beat me to posting it haha. Always tempted to bite but the price keeps coming down! Chat with customer service for additional 10% off. Bringing down to 720 before tax

You would blow 50%-100%+ of your $800 budget on a receiver that could support this many Atmos channels, plus then you need all the speakers. Running wires into your ceiling for a "legit" Atmos setup is also a serious PITA, and in general, a massive HT setup just doesn't pass the WAF.

Sound bars have come a long way vs. the models that existed 10 years ago.

Don't think you'll see better than this without bundling. Have the 990B and continued impressed with it even 12+ months later. Have tried Sony HTA9, Ambeo, KEF LS50II and others. None have the entire package, ease of use, and truly immersive around, especially at this price!

Works with EDU, and I was able to get the 10% off by chatting, so $720 plus tax. The cashback looked a little weak, but I'm hoping checking out with Paypal gave me some points. Picking up at Best Buy, will go by tonight to see if I can speed up the process. I'm not logged in to my EDU email, so I'm not sure if I'll get an update on my phone when the order is ready.

This is so relatable. Truly can't have nice things when you have young ones running around lol. My only child just turned 15 and I find myself spending a lot more money on high quality things believing that I will now keep them almost indefinitely.

Just fyi I have a $600 Vizio 5.1.4 atmos sound bar w/ wireless surround speakers and a typical 8 foot smooth ceiling and I've never EVER experience sound coming from above.

But they keep selling these, and people keep buying them and this is Samsung ,so it just my experience.

I regret my purchase, I rather have put speakers in the ceiling.

I'm tempted to buy this now to not miss out on the price but have a $500 credit from Samsung pending after pre-ordering their 57" monitor. Anyone have any ideas on how to snag this now and use loopholes to have the $500 applied later (like via return/exchange?).

I messaged their support and they won't let me apply it right now. Samsung gave some options during my checkout when purchasing the monitor to have the credit applied to instantly, but none of it was stuff I actually wanted and was very limited.

*edit* Thought I should mention that the credit is available 35 days after I receive my monitor. So that will put me somewhere around November 7th.

While this is the lowest price according to Slickdeals search, especially with the 10% off, it's gone on sale for $840-900 since June, so even if you miss the sale, I'm sure it will drop for Black Friday.

I have the 990b (previous gen but nearly identical) and bought on here when it hit $800. Never looked back. Best soundbar surround system on the market (ever better than the Sonos) and you will love it.
