Beat me to posting it haha. Always tempted to bite but the price keeps coming down! Chat with customer service for additional 10% off. Bringing down to 720 before tax

You would blow 50%-100%+ of your $800 budget on a receiver that could support this many Atmos channels, plus then you need all the speakers. Running wires into your ceiling for a "legit" Atmos setup is also a serious PITA, and in general, a massive HT setup just doesn't pass the WAF.

Sound bars have come a long way vs. the models that existed 10 years ago.

Don't think you'll see better than this without bundling. Have the 990B and continued impressed with it even 12+ months later. Have tried Sony HTA9, Ambeo, KEF LS50II and others. None have the entire package, ease of use, and truly immersive around, especially at this price!

I got the 990B (essentially the same) last year and it's been amazing. That was at $909.99. This is an even better deal for the best all-in-one around.

I chatted with a rep about price matching the order I made in in late August for $899 and received earlier September, and they give me a link to go to a different post-sales support chat. Following that link I chatted with the post-sales support rep and she said she'd put in a request for the refund, and they'll email me if the request is approved. Fingers crossed.
Happy to report I woke up to a $100 refund notification in my email this morning!

I have the exact system. Good luck with the lip sync. Has three replacements and even bought a new tv and nothing can fix it. Not the app, new hdmi cable, nothing. The lip sync is noticeable. I measured it to be 1 ms.
Sorry, but 1 ms wouldn't be noticable by a human being. That is 1/1000 of a second. You measured it, lol...

Not had that issue. Are you using eARC? I'm very sensitive to lip sync and don't use eARC for that reason in general.
What do you use instead of eARC?

Can you link the SWA-9500S for $120 please?
You have to go to Best Buy in person and ask them to pull it up and order it for you. Their in-store system should show $120... but may not at this point. It's been a few weeks since that was discovered. Here is the link at Best Buy so you can get the SKU

Can confirm that Customer Service can drop it down another 10%. I didn't even ask for an additional discount. The were just asking what I was after and if I needed any help. The person just sent me a checkout link after I provided them with my email, phone number and address details. I recall doing it very late at night too. Like 11pm PT or later so time of day doesn't matter either it seems.

I use devices connected to the soundbar and then out to the TV. I don't use any on-TV apps that would have to send the sound out to the soundbar.

Owned many Samsung and LG products, refrigerator, two sets of washers and dryers, home speakers, TVs. They were great when they worked. They only last less than 3 years, unbelievable. My Sony TVs, speakers, headphones still go strong after 10 years. Samsung and LG look modern and cute but garbage IMO

I can confirm the issue with audio sync/delay. Neither the Soudbar nor my Samsung TV can adjust it because it only goes from 0ms to 300ms. You can't go negative. The picture is delayed. Not the audio.

The issue happens when Atmos audio is played. If you turn off Atmos on the TV sound settings, the issue goes away. I am using the Apple TV 4K with last years Samsung QLED with eARC and 8k/60 HDMI cables. Tested using Disney+ and Apple TV+ streaming. I have configured every setting possible and it's definitely still there. I have connected my devices to the TV and through the Soundbar too to try rule out all possibilities. It's very frustrating and a deal breaker for me.

Maybe I got lucky but I have a 63" Samsung Plasma that I bought in 2010 and it's still going strong.
