You would blow 50%-100%+ of your $800 budget on a receiver that could support this many Atmos channels, plus then you need all the speakers. Running wires into your ceiling for a "legit" Atmos setup is also a serious PITA, and in general, a massive HT setup just doesn't pass the WAF.

Sound bars have come a long way vs. the models that existed 10 years ago.

Don't think you'll see better than this without bundling. Have the 990B and continued impressed with it even 12+ months later. Have tried Sony HTA9, Ambeo, KEF LS50II and others. None have the entire package, ease of use, and truly immersive around, especially at this price!

Yes I think it's worth a try. I didnt want to deal with the hassle of returning and buying it again so that's what I did. It really will depend on the associate that youll get in touch with but I think they do have the ability to do something in the system.

You don't have to checkout using the email link after chatting with an agent. If you open the email you can see on the top right the discount code they applied to the cart. I was I was able to stack the 10% off code with the Shop Samsung app offer for $25 for over $200 when using the app for first purchase. Brought the price down to $695 before tax.

I can only assume it's the TV doing some additional processing it shouldn't be on the audio.

AV on Plex/Netflix (anything 5.1) is perfect. No issues. I have the same TV, QN90B. The Q-symphony works on that too. Have Audio set to passthrough. Any other setting (PCM, Auto) and the audio delay is horrific. Doesn't make a difference with HDMI or WIFI connection. Both have the same delay.

You got any thoughts/ideas?

Just ordered with the 10% discount through chat for local pickup, hopefully it's ready today. Still waiting for a Q900C that I ordered last week that hasn't seen any movement all week. Not sure if I can even use Atmos rear speakers which is why I got the 900, but I bought the 9500 rears just because they were on clearance at Best Buy which puts me at $620. $100 more for the Q990C and available locally, might as well. I'll probably just use the 900 in the other room, good thing is they both have Airplay 2.

Wish I waited. But i got the Q900c since i don't really need the rear speakers. Got it for $440 with tax and all other credits. Its a nice upgrade from my Q700b, so it should be an upgrade for those who has Q800 or Q910

So I bought this when it was $900 - ended up returning it. Granted, I am an audiophile, I found this soundbar to be very underwhelming for the price. Even at $800. I ended up getting Sony SSC speakers (4) + two upfiring Sony atmos speakers and an atmos receiver + a 10" THX rated sub for less, and it sounds phenomenally better. For those that want convenience but are willing to sacrifice sound quality this is great. But sound for me, even in a small room, was paramount.

I just brought up the shipping issues with my previous order and how I'd like a soundbar by the weekend but the only model available locally was the Q990C, so was there any possibility of an additional discount. He came back with a checkout link in my wife's account with her first responder discount and an additional 10% discount. Just say you wanted to buy the 900 and are on the fence with the 990, are there any additional discounts they can apply.

P.S. I hate asking for discounts lol

Ordered mine yesterday. Just picked it up from bestbuy tonight. Going to give it a try, and make sure I like it, before I order the stands for the rear speakers.
