You would blow 50%-100%+ of your $800 budget on a receiver that could support this many Atmos channels, plus then you need all the speakers. Running wires into your ceiling for a "legit" Atmos setup is also a serious PITA, and in general, a massive HT setup just doesn't pass the WAF.

Sound bars have come a long way vs. the models that existed 10 years ago.

Don't think you'll see better than this without bundling. Have the 990B and continued impressed with it even 12+ months later. Have tried Sony HTA9, Ambeo, KEF LS50II and others. None have the entire package, ease of use, and truly immersive around, especially at this price!

So I received my Q900C today. Already had the rear 9500s speakers from best buy waiting here. This system really is a sizable upgrade to the q910c. That's mostly due to the rear speakers. The update in quality from the rears is huge to put it lightly. So much louder and better sound quality. Can't complain about this setup for a total of six hundred bucks. Only minor issue is the subwoofer could be a bit stronger. Not sure why the other one seemed a little stronger when this one Is supposedly the upraded model running higher wattage. Anyone else have this issue? Or happen to know a way to get a little more performance out of it?

You can increase the subwoofer level using the remote or the Samrt Things app. Also there is a bass enhancement setting. Check your manual if you want to use the remote for the adjustment

Exactly what I was looking for! That matches with what other reviews were saying about marginal impact with the Q990C. Looks like I'm going to stick with an LG TV for Dolby Vision.

Thank you. I used the remote to turn up the sub as far as it could go. But I was unaware of a bass enhancement setting. But I'll try to find it.

You had the 9500s waiting there to use with the 900C? I dont t think they are compatible.
