Sound bars have come a long way vs. the models that existed 10 years ago.

Upgrading from Q950A to Q990C. Wasn't sure if that's a worthy upgrade or not but the price was too tempting and the lowest it has ever been.
For anyone on the fence like me, here is what the customer rep told me over chat.

Using this to replace a JBL 9.1 which has been having handshake issues with the HDMI IN port, to the point where it's unusable unless I use it with eARC instead. I have an LG C1, so that would mean no more DTS/DTS-HD MA pass-through, which is a huge deal breaker for me.
The Q990C feels like an upgrade in every way, and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
The only complaint (other than no HDMI 2.1 of course) is the I/O ports for the soundbar are a bit snug. Some HDMI cables will have to bent in order to fit in the tight area.
EDIT: This does have DV passthrough, although not mentioned in the specs. Also, Tidal Connect doesn't support "Max" tier. Not the soundbars fault, Tidal's API currently only supports mobile and desktop devices.
