Beat me to posting it haha. Always tempted to bite but the price keeps coming down! Chat with customer service for additional 10% off. Bringing down to 720 before tax

You would blow 50%-100%+ of your $800 budget on a receiver that could support this many Atmos channels, plus then you need all the speakers. Running wires into your ceiling for a "legit" Atmos setup is also a serious PITA, and in general, a massive HT setup just doesn't pass the WAF.

Sound bars have come a long way vs. the models that existed 10 years ago.

Don't think you'll see better than this without bundling. Have the 990B and continued impressed with it even 12+ months later. Have tried Sony HTA9, Ambeo, KEF LS50II and others. None have the entire package, ease of use, and truly immersive around, especially at this price!

debated for longtime and pulled the trigger.

Upgrading from Q950A to Q990C. Wasn't sure if that's a worthy upgrade or not but the price was too tempting and the lowest it has ever been.

For anyone on the fence like me, here is what the customer rep told me over chat.

There are no more 10% discounts for anyone. This is the best deal we have for Q990C and will end anytime today. You might want to secure your spot and get your new sound bar on it's best price.

What are the thoughts on buying Q-series 5.1.2 ch. Wireless Dolby ATMOS Soundbar Q800C for $337.50 and adding Wireless Rear Speaker Kit 9200S (2x speakers) for $134.99. Total = $472.49

End anytime today, eh? Looking forward to tomorrow when it's still on sale for EPP.

I had this setup (Q800B with 9500S) for a few months now and I am very happy with it. I have it set to the "Adaptive Sound" mode and it still manages to surprise me especially with the 5.1 / atmos movies.

The 9200S are not compatible with the 800C! You want the 9500S which are $120 from BB. Just search for the deal.

I picked up today and OMG I'm so in love with it. It is the best $800 I spent in my life. I watched a movie and a soccer game and it was awesome, also tried some games on Xbox X Series. I'm so happy with it. I'm not sure about tweaking it though, I didn't change any settings just tried different sound modes. It was so easy to setup and I control it through the app. There was no firmware update. Can someone share their setup and what they have done? I'm using the Two speakers as rear on the side of the couch and main speaker under the TV with the Subwoofer to it's right. I have LG C2 TV for reference and I connected it through ARC to the soundbar

Everyone has a different opinion on settings. But mine would be selecting "adaptive" mode on the sound settings. Seems to boost the sound the most. Turn the subwoofer up to 6. Turn the bass enhancement on using the app. Then use the channel level button on the remote. Select the top speakers and turn it up to 6. Then select rear top, rear front, and rear side, and turn each of those up to 6. I personally feel that gives me the best bang out of the unit. But your mileage may vary...

Received mine yesterday (1 day from order to delivered, always love that!)

Using this to replace a JBL 9.1 which has been having handshake issues with the HDMI IN port, to the point where it's unusable unless I use it with eARC instead. I have an LG C1, so that would mean no more DTS/DTS-HD MA pass-through, which is a huge deal breaker for me.

The Q990C feels like an upgrade in every way, and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

The only complaint (other than no HDMI 2.1 of course) is the I/O ports for the soundbar are a bit snug. Some HDMI cables will have to bent in order to fit in the tight area.

EDIT: This does have DV passthrough, although not mentioned in the specs. Also, Tidal Connect doesn't support "Max" tier. Not the soundbars fault, Tidal's API currently only supports mobile and desktop devices.
Just curious, But when you say better in every way over the JBL, Are you referring to the subwoofer as well? I used this system to replace the JBL 3.1. Although I agree the sound bar is definitely superior, And this system obviously has rears and my JBL did not. I'm not really convinced the sub is an improvement. Mine had a 300 watt 10" sub. Fairly certain your system had the same one. It was a ridiculously powerful sub for a under three hundred dollar unit. The low end rumble Was powerful and hit hard. However, when it came to the small details, the Samsung seems better. It always felt like the JBL missed allot of the smaller details. But came in very powerful on the big things. Idk. Just curious as to your opinion since you had first hand knowledge of that sub as well...

Can someone give insight on the music performance of the system. I listen more music than movies. I have two Echo studios paired as stereo.

It will sound much better than your current setup but honestly I would not pay $800 just to listen to music
