The keys here:
1) trade in practically ANY phone. Like I had an old iPhone 6 that was sort of broken but turned on.
2) you get $1000 if you do their Unlimited Ultimate. (Like ~$52mo plan)
Or $830 if you do the middle tier. (Like $42/mo plan).
Or $420 if you do the welcome plan ($27/mo plan).

I opted for the middle tier because we didn't need ultimate's key benefit (60gb/mo hotspot).

yeah but for 2) like ~52mo plan, dont that first require you to have 4 lines w/ them?

I appreciate the post but It looks like an ad or commercial. If I look at a German deals website, they always put the full cost in the title, I.e. the 36x the monthly cost. The fact that this title just says free is like an ad.

But it's not a contract. A contract is something that is binding, this isn't. If you upgrade your phone or leave the carrier, you give up the bill credits and you have to pay the remaining balance of the phone.

Back when they subsidized the phones, that was a true contract as they could charge you an ETF as well as require you to pay off the full balance of the phone. You signed a document.

24 vs. 36 mos is just a way to reduce the monthly payment. 1 year more, no big deal. I've been with Verizon for 10+ years. I don't switch providers often, not worth it to me. If you do, then yeah, that's on you to figure out how you purchase a $1k device. The 36 mos bill credits to get a $1k+ device for $11/mo 0% interest fits my needs.
You are technically correct. It's not binding.. however, the incompetence (probably wilful) of Verizon, Tmo, ATT and dealing with early termination, calculating the pay off amount is nothing short of a true nightmare, and that's assuming they get it right the first time. Highly likely there IS a mistake and too likely their error impacts your credit rating and now you're wasting days/weeks trying to fix it. Your own experience trying to sign up is simply unacceptable; imagine now when they have you as a customer when you trying to cancel and need to reference a deal YEARS ago! The companies count on many not bothering and they make out either way on your wallet.

Had a much less complicated problem with Tmob that didn't involve any trade ins, it was entirely THEIR mistake, out of the blue, and had collections chasing me for months. Literally after SIX months and writing to their corporate offices, was it finally fixed. Tmob offered me $500 bill credit. Ofc I accepted and once it ran through, it was the last time I will ever deal with these shenanigans. Prepaid all the way, so so much easier, CHEAPER, and same service. If any of you haven't tried it, you don't know what you're missing and your wallet thanks you.

In fact, even if prepaid offered no savings, I'd still prefer it. The fact that they are literally a fraction of these post-paid "legacy" plans, is pure brilliance on their part.

And lose every bill credit left remaining on the contract..because when you electronically acknowledge the terms..you've still entered a contract. Lol
Doesn't matter if I lose the remaining bill credits, I still come ahead because I actually got bill credits in the first place.

So you are saying, no bill credits at all, is better than any bill credits?

So, if we terminate the contract after getting the Costco card, how much do we owe?

(iPhone price - $830) or (iPhone price - Apple Trade-in value)
As far as I know, the remainder of what the cost of the phone is with no interest.

This means you can't upgrade for 3 years because if you trade in the phone early, the full remaining balance is due. It sounds great until you realize you're stuck with the phone for 3 years. Unless you buy it outside of Verizon.
I honestly don't mind 3-yrs, or at least don't care much. The phones last for more than 2-years, but I always upgraded at the 2-yr mark bc the trade-in deals for me were just too good to pass up. I'd basically upgrade to the "latest and greatest" for around $100-200 after trade-in. Phones will still hold their value even at the 3-yr mark.

For my iPhone XS for example, I bought it at $650 after Verizon ran a sick promo one time. Used it for 3-years then traded it back to Verizon for $800. Yup, I basically leased the phone free for 3-years then got paid $150 to give it back. I applied that to my current 13 pro so I really only paid $200 out of pocket for it.

I just went to my Costco and my iPhone 5C showed eligible on their device list, but when the rep tried trading it in through Verizon it said it wasn't eligible. Just a heads up
Go on the Vz site and click through like you're going to sign up. Part of the way through, you will enter your phone's information. I had an old 7 that would not go through until I chose "other" as the carrier, then it went through, so that's what we did at the kiosk.
Your phone should work.

Definity gonna ask me to upgrade to a newer plan to get the offer. No deal for me. I like my 15 years old gUDP.
Do you get 5g wide band speeds with the grandfathered data plan?

$830 back for any phone ?? Or "up to" 830 depending on a model??

if any phone for 830$ then it's a freaking amazin deal
It's really not, being locked into a 3 year contract with their elevated cell prices when mint and US mobile exist…. You'll pay for the phone over the 3 years.

Went to Costco and the Rep says iPhone 11 or higher gets the full promo credit. iPhone X will get about half, for those who still use the older ones.

Wish I can get rid of the iPhone 6 that my kiddos have been using. Smilie

OP, just want to confirm, were you able to walk out the store with the devices or did they simply create a delivery order for you?
Phone's are shipped to you and they give you an estimated arrival time. The ProMax was the longest wait.

Damn. Found my iPhone 3G but no USB to charge so idk if it even works.
It needs to be completely reset to when you first get it with Find my iPhone off. Someone must have a cord on Facebook/eBay/Let Go.
Good luck. It's worth $830!

Can someone please post a link to this deal? Would like to know how much the Verizon plans will cost and which phones will be accepted for trade-in.
You have to go into the Costco store as far as I can tell.
