It's not so much a story mode, but a "horde mode" where you're just fighting off more and more difficult swarms of enemies.

However, if you're on PS4, you also get a fun free PSVR mission included, too (takes place in an X-Wing)

I think the 1st one was just multi-player only which is why it was sh!tty for me. The 2nd Battlefront did have story mode and it was awesome. Not great but just enough.

We go back and try to play this some. For us, it is hit or miss on Xbox. Sometimes lobbies are available and sometimes not. The Death Star map and other add one can be very hard to find a lobby.
I like the 40 player mode and there is usually only one lobby available if at all

I played this for like 400+ hours back when it came out. It was a fun multiplayer ONLY game (there's some very minor challenge modes that shouldn't even count in the modern era).

I actually preferred a lot of this game over BF2 but the game is mostly dead. All those awesome DLC maps including Cloud City and the Death Star trench run, you'll never get to play since the lobbies are always empty. Expect to just play the standard maps as that's all people play now, which fwiw, still are easy to into.

Remember too that PS Plus is required and $80/year now as well.

If all that is good for you, particularly if you never played this one, pick it up.
