If only the people riding these ebikes kept it reasonable and courteous to everyone especially slow moving pedestrians, we wouldn't be having issues. I have a scooter for a long time, zero issues, nobody complained because I rode it reasonable. When a pedestrian was close I would slow down to walking speed till I got past them. If there was a kid, toddler, I would walk the scooter past them, then get back on. Till unfortunately teenagers and other irresponsible people started riding rude and running into or at least scaring people. Now so many new anti-scooter laws or outright bans. The same thing is happening to ebikes now.
The real enemy are stupid, irresponsible people. Ban them, and the world would be a better place, everywhere.

I will hence forth write in ALL CAPS. DO NOT BUY ANY HURLEY BIKES. THEY ARE HOT GARBAGE AND THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT WILL GHOST YOU. I SENT THEM ANOTHER EMAIL FROM MY BURNER EMAIL AND THEY RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY. FK THESE GUYS. MY BIG SWELL 1 HAS A DEFECTIVE BATTERY AND I CANNOT GET ANY HELP. I AM PRESENTLY DISPUTING IT WITH MY CREDIT CARD PROVIDER. just save yourself a lot of headache and get an actual reputable e-bike maker.
