You "brushless-or-nothing" guys are something else. Aside from the above being generally bad advice; and the anecdote is dubious, at best; the Dewalt attachment is fine for some uses except that it freely spins around the driver's axis, which means you have to hold it in place across two axis (in the direction of the fastener and firmly against the fastener itself, at which point it wants to spin to the left or to the right). Not ideal when you're already in an awkward position and / or confined space.

Two schools of thought on this kit: 1. It's occasional use / second or third drill-driver to be used only when you need the goofy angle or confined space attachments and 2. primary drill-driver with the added bonus of attachments. If you fall under #1, like me, don't worry about the brushed motor and spend the difference elsewhere. If #2, ok, wait for brushless but know this is a perfectly capable kit in the brushed version. Bosch 12v drivers are beasts in both brushed and brushless flavors. Aside from the one-off YMMV clearance price you might find randomly this is a decent deal.

FWIW I've got an 18V Bosch set and this 12v brushed flexiclick. I generally grab the 12v flexiclick first unless I'm needing an impact driver or am drilling large holes. This set is light, feels more balanced in hand than the 18V drill, and batteries last surprisingly long. The different attachments are just a great bonus.

Not a bad deal, unfortunately that's the brushed version, not the brushless. You want the GSR12v-300 for the brushed model. Also, check around Lowe's, some of them are still clearing out their 12 volt Bosch tools. I picked up this exact same model last month for $30 new in the box.

Agree, if this was brushless or 18v version. It would be a good deal. Although Bosch is known to make good power tool. I had bad experience with brushed tool, they all broke with little use, luckily it was before the return window. This tool feel dated and under powered.

Bosch are quality tools. I own several of the brushless tool from Bosch. The power tool industry has mainly shifted to brushless tool. Bushed too are known to be less efficient and durable compared to brushless. This tool is capable for Average DIY, service pro like electrician, plumber looking for a drill In tight space. Most pro would invest a bit more & get the brushless or 18v version. My experience with Bosch brushes drill was more frequent battery change & the chuck wasnt straight after light use of drilling screw in various project. I was a bit surprised that the chuck wasn't straight after drilling a few screw into a pre drill hole of 4x4 & 2x4 wood. I had to finish the job with the brushless driver with a right angle drill attachment. Imo if you need to drill into tight space just buy a right angle attachment with magnetic tip like this Dewalt one. This way you can use you existing drill & the magnetic tip was helpful for holding screw & drill bit in place

Be aware that the 12v Bosch, which I recently bought on clearance at Lowe's, is basically being abandoned by Bosch (according to the Bosch rep in the store). It'll still be sold online but almost nowhere else. That said, I bought it because I'm addicted to buying power tools.

I don't think it's better than M12 FUEL 12V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 4-in-1 Installation 3/8 in. Drill Driver Kit with 4-Tool Heads for $113

People tend to want the latest and greatest, forgetting that they probably only need half the features. For the casual homeowner brushless is good enough.

I have both & tend to agree, though I haven't used them a lot. I like the handle style on the Milwaukee.

I believe the poster meant this deal which I got in. Even though it's labeled as expire but it's still available.

Search is your friend.

https://slickdeals.net/newsearch.php?searchin=first&q=milwaukee+installation&r=1

It involves some shifty return scheme where you buy a kit and get a bonus tool, then return the bonus tool. It will probably be shut down in the future so YMMV. I picked up a Milwaukee Installation driver a few weeks ago and I'm quite impressed with it. I just kept the ratchet driver because it seems handy. Not $200 handy, but definitely "extra free tool" handy.
