Can this be jailbroken, or is it stuck with crappy amazon store ecosystem?

Look up FireToolbox , it automates everything. You can remove most (recommended) or all (experimental) of amazon's bloat. I have used it on Fire 10 a lot, hopefully still works on Fire 11.

How did this turn into a rant about Amazon GC policy change thread? There're other forums for off topic discussion.

I was waiting for Black Friday to get this price, now I don't have to wait. Also, all the rest of the Fire tablets are on a Black Friday sale price level.
Can you turn off the Amazon commercials?

To fix charging port on my iPad 7th gen costs $180. Since I only do basic stuff like streaming, browsing, etc this fire max 11 should be sufficient. I traded a laggy and kinda old fire 7 that I can't even stream hulu , disney plus on. I'd prefer ease of an iPad but even 9th gen would cost around $250. Hopefully sideloading google play store is easy on fire max. $115 before tax and CA ewaste fee isn't a bad deal

I like to point out to people that the $75 10-in fire tablet has the same chip and just one less gigabyte of RAM. Unless you really value the extra space, I'm not sure that's not the better bargain. In fact one of those even has the option for a wireless charging, although I probably wouldn't bother with it

Prime ETA saying the only money could recommend is the 11-in one but failing to see why it's worth a $75 price premium over the 10-in one.

Once you're up to $150... But at that point you're pretty close to being able to afford Lenovo duet 3 (on sale for 200 at Best buy today), tab s6 lite ... Maybe even a used Galaxy tab S7 could be found for $250. Or p11 pro.

Honey don't get me wrong I think it's a pretty decent tablet but just sometimes I think people don't realize that the $75 one is basically going to have identical performance.

It's pretty easy you just download 4 apKs. Some of them have to be in a certain order.

I did it for the first time maybe 6 months ago maybe 8 months ago and it still working fine. None of the updates have broken it or anything. I'm using kiwi browser with desktop extensions.... The only thing that doesn't really work, I have noticed is third party launchers and some live wallpaper apps (though some of them work, like I sideloaded a lot of the pixel, live apps and they work fine).

They will probably eventually start to crash and force close especially if you are on the lower FW 8.3.1.5 which is the last version that allows you to disable Amazon services like fire launcher
I think people have been saying updating stopped the crashing and force closing but then if you update you can't block updates ,disable fire launcher and debloat
I am staying put
Hopefully they will figure out a way to get it to work consistently
Also e was under the impression it was Google doing this not Amazon
Google has a whitelist of official devices that are allowed to use play services and Amazon fire tablets are not on the whitelist
My 10-in fire HD tablet has had the Google Play store for like 9 months without any issues.

The processor is also 2 1/2 to 3 times as fast in the Max 11 as my current gen Fire HD 10 Plus.
The fire tabs have 3 GB of RAM, 4 GB if you get the fire 10 plus.

Also the fire 10 tablet from 2021 has the exact same chip as the fire max 11. That's why I tend to think the 10 inch one might be a better value proposition if you don't need the space.

You're really only getting an extra gig of RAM and the extra real estate (and the nicer aesthetics and everything).

I think they're both fine products though for the price. I don't understand people s******* on them like crazy... You're on the other options at $150 or less sorry stuff like ONN tablets or an and iPad with lightning... Maybe a used Lenovo duet..

Maybe if you go on the resale market you might be able to find like a tab s6 lite.

For some reason this website had loves to have people trash $40 phones and $75 tablets for having low specs... As if that wasn't accounted for in the price

This deal is back again, and you can trade in an old Amazon device for an extra 20% off, to bring the total to $119 for the 64GB version.

The Fire Max 11 does NOT have the same chip as the Fire HD 10. Its MediaTek MT8188 has two ARM A78 cores which are much newer and faster than the A73 in the MT8183 of the Fire HD 10.

It was a much needed replacement. The 8183 was in the 2019 Fire Tablet.

4 gb??? Seriously bazos stop padding your wallet and give at least 8 gb memory in your tablets!
eh... padding his wallet? With the 20% off trading a junk tablet I got this for $104 on prime day. Even at $150 its a decent deal. Or would your rather get the Samsung galaxy tab A8 with 3gb, 32gb storage, slightly slower processor for $229?

Yeah, it's a small but noticeable upgrade. Everything is a little smoother. And I finally can tolerate web browsing on a fire tablet.

How is the browser on these fire tablets? Do some sites or functions not work? Is it an Amazon browser or using android/chrome?
