You can get a full sized cheesecake at Costco for $12. This is a pass.
$4.50 for a slice of pie is a deal these days? Man, I need a raise.
I have given up on Cheesecake Factory. They offered free cheesecake gift certificates when you bought Gift cards and when I redeemed them the slices were much smaller than buying them per slice full price. I asked the waiter why the slice is small and they said the free gift certificate for slice's of pie are smaller. What a shame! I finished using my gift cards and stop giving them my business.

Same here; the slices are the same, and I wasn't being served a non-standard slice. That waiter probably didn't want to get into an entire argument with that commenter who was probably ready to break out rules and protractors, so he just lied and said "yes, it's smaller, now please leave".

Also, what is it with this Slickdeal users and their aversion to any type of eating? "oMG teH FoODz baD 4 U", literally anytime a food item is posted. This website is insufferable.

Nah, this happened to me also. I know what a smaller size slice is because I used to purchase them at regular price. When the promotion was hot the same regular sizes came out but once the Cheesecake Factory in my area got bombarded with chessecake certificates the slices got smaller. The trick is to just order your slice without mentioning any certificate and you get a normal slice. Now they limit redemption to two per visit in my area and that's when I let it go.

$0.99 a slice would be a fair deal.

That would be awesome. I still feel this is a decent deal depending on the size. They were somewhere between $7-9 last time I knew.

If you don't go there, it's not a deal. But if you paid their regular price then this IS a Deal.

Harry & David (yes the pear company) produce all the cheesecake for the cheesecake factory. They don't even make it themselves.

Does that matter? I can't imagine anyone assumed they literally have off-site cheesecake factories of their own to supply restaurants.

It's pretty normal for any chain with its own desserts or soda flavors or bread dough to have it produced in a food facility that fulfills hundreds of recipes for other brands. The cheesecake menu and recipes are still planned and made according the the Cheesecake Factory's requirements.
According to the Cheesecake, you both are wrong:

Screw cheesecakes. You can get 3 hotdogs and sodas for this price. I know which one I'm getting.

I stopped going there after someone took me there once. I can make an actual fresh cheesecake for the price of 2 of the Micky Ds thawed out style slices. Hell I used to be able to just grab a Gordon's that the business I worked with ordered for pretty low cost too.

Costco sells Juniors?
Yeah, but it wasn't very good. Not sure if it's because they make special ones for Costco or I just don't like Junior's cheesecake in general? I had never had it before so can't compare.

You need a letter of recommendation to order at Cheesecake Factory now? Yet another example of elitism inherent in the fine dining industry..I'll be taking my business to gold standard of sophistication -- Applebee's.
since when is Cheesecake Factory fine dining?

Ahh a fellow connoisseur. I absolutely agree that Cheesecake Factory is positively barbaric in comparison to the remarkable elegance that is the cultural institution of Applebee's.

Applebee's has to be the most overrated restaurant in history. I'd rather eat at McDonald's lol

Cheesecake Factory is great, eat there quite often.
