The M5C looks like a good option at this price if you're looking for something to work well out of the box. The flagship M5 is still only $100 less than the Bambu P1P so consider the AMS, enclosure, and upgrade options that the P1P offers. If none of that matters the M5 isn't a bad route since it already has the camera and AI features that seem to be a good tool for people new to 3D printing.

Agreed, good deal for this printer but Bambu is just changing the game, and price points.

I have the M5 and N3 Max and several Bambu's. It's about what you want. The new Bambu is Small seriously small so that's a consideration.

I honestly find the M5 to be a great printer, it's more in the category of products that "just work". It sure lives up to the "1-click print" with minimal effort concept. Just works perfectly with me and my flow. I honestly would suggest this kind of printer for those just looking for a type of sleek and high quality printer.

I have an M5 and an M5C and I like both of them. Unless you need the larger print volume the M5C is the best deal. I pre ordered the A1 Mini from Bambu but I know there'll be prints/currently have print projects saved on printables that won't fit on the A1 Mini.

But the bed size of that printer is quite small for most users.

i feel like i'm forfeiting multi-color capabilities if i go with anker, unless someone knows anker is releasing their version of AMS, otherwise, i think i'll wait for perhaps p1p to drop a bit more (if at all), and get an AMS when they go one sale or something.

Anker is actually planning to release their own version of AMS next year called the V6 (https://www.ankermake.com/eu-en/v6), though it's not a proven quantity. There aren't any early review samples in the wild or anything, so it's a bit of a gamble how it will compare to the Bambu version.

Love my ankermakes ive got both the m5 and m5c. 3d printing has gotten REALLY competitive lately with bambu announcing their a1 mini and the neptune 4 the new enders they are all getting really good. But theres just something really nice about dealing with a large brand like ankermake. Customer support is really good if you ever have issues and aesthetically i love tge design of the ankermake machines. Really departs from the "naked" printer look.

One of the Kickstarters here:

The statements that the M5 is "plug and play" are definitely overselling this printer. Although assembly IS very easy, and the build quality is good - the software is not. You'll be watching a lot of YouTube videos and going through a lot of trial and error before you master the skill of making the model stick to the print bed. The software won't do it for you. And, unless you're only looking to print "support free" models (which would be extremely limiting) - prepare to either use 3rd party software, or spend hours cutting off supports to get your plastic printed goodness.

Also, having worked with Anker support - it's really bad. The tech support person will read a few words, refer you to prepared scripts on how to do things completely unrelated to solving your problem, you'll try to explain that they misunderstood you, they'll send another set of instructions on how to fix something unrelated to your problem... Eventually, it's possible to get a part replacement that you need, but the process has sometimes took me over a month and countless attempts to explain a technical problem to their understanding.

Still - it's a good printer. All the ones that I know of have their sets of quirks, and Anker's are no exception.

Currently have a creality cr-10s pro but it's really not working well. Most prints make it a few layers then start noodling

This deal is showing up here as expired? I went on Amazon just seconds ago and this is still showing up as $499. I added it to my cart to make sure it wasn't a glitch and confirmed this deal is still active.

Also I noticed there is a 20% off coupon for certain bundled items if you get them together with this.
