There seems to be a problem with the controller used in this drive. I choose the Lexar NM790, which is $14 cheaper at amazon, instead.

BIWIN makes these for Acer and also makes the same spec drive for HP.

I saw a biwin deal floating around. Didn't check the price vs this, but it's probably less expensive for the same thing.

Also, the "heat spreader" sucks. Tear that sucker off and put a real heatsink on it. They used to claim it was made of graphene but it isn't even a little bit graphene.

When they sent these drives out to reviewers, they included a separate heatsink. The included pad wasn't good, so the reviewers tested it with the heatsink that was included by BIWIN.

BIWIN also sells direct on ebay. So check the prices there.

I've had the 2tb for a year and a half. Performance is terrific. I have it in the Sabrent heat sink that has the heat pipes on it. It goes to 35c and stays there no matter what I do.
