kasas have a 1 or 2 second lag. They all do.
WHY ARE LIGHT SWITCHES SO COMPLICATED! It's unreal that you need a compatibility chart between light switches and light bulbs. I've got home assistant on a Pi, a NAS, a mini PC, an overclocked gaming PC, streaming videos to TVs in ever room, but I'm fighting with light bulbs...
So when LED's first started to become mainstream, it started off mad expensive. So it became a race to the bottom. Manufacturers start to cut corners, and one of the first corner they cut = dimming compatibility. LED's at its core is an electronic device. Probably an extreme comparison, but imagine trying to dim your PC. Not pretty. As a dimmer manufacturer who is limited to only being able to work with high voltage wires, there really isn't much they can do. To make things worse, since the manufacturing overhead to enter the market to build a LED bulb is way easier than a incandescent bulb, way more manufacturing brands popped out of no where, just search Amazon. So that further fragmented the dimming compatibility with no standard/oversight.....
My experience because I have both is that I can also see that lutron will not bog down your router with traffic from possibly tens of devices. Lutron has it's own base that the devices connect to.
As far as reliability in response I've seen better performance with Kasa actually. I have home assistant setup with automation and consistently lutron will miss calls to action. Could be bad support but for my use case I'm tempted to remove the lutron because of this issue because of how consistent the issue is. It does look cleaner but maybe that's the premium price talking.
I would highly recommend if you have a neutral wire and only plan on installing a couple switches to use Kasa. I currently am using Kasa and have multiple switches (dimmers and regular) and plug switches and bulbs connected (14 total devices) and I have no issues but I had to play around with my router setup to manage all the devices I have on my network. (Fyi I have a lot more other manufacturer equipment on my network as well)

Same product P-BDG-PKG2W (without the -A at the end). Searches show that there's no difference between the -A and this one. Same bundle.
Got mine with an Amex 40% off offer (using 1 MR point), so it was a great deal.
