1 month and counting until the new season starts...

Any ideas on how this seasons going to go? The only previews/clips I've seen is Jack wondering around what looks like Arizona, and he answers his cellphone "How did you get this number?" I have no idea what's going to happen... and that's what i love Evil

The finale sucked. It was slow and drawn out...not as emotional as others. Glad its not a direct end though thanks to the movie coming out

I was literally breathless and speechless (until now). To that guy in this thread who said he works in the shows post-production and said the ending was amazing, he was right on.
Geez! I can finally talk about it now!

I got chills when the drone was looking over Jack, and Chloe said: "Shut it down." Static and out! Plus the clock counting backwards to 00:00:00. Fascinating!

Like I said about a week ago. I felt very satisfied with the ending. They can leave it and never do a movie or another season ever again and I will feel like the legend that is Jack Bauer lives on. Or if they decide to do a movie or another season, they have a solid cliff hanger built in with Jack on the run... from everybody!

I do have a question for all the fans though. If a movie is made, how will it be pieced together? A movie cannot be "events happen in real time" unless they only want the time elapsed to be 2 hours. But then, the movie would not stay true to the title "24". Conversely, if they make a normal movie and get rid of the "events happen in real time", that would make it just like any other movie and it wouldn't feel like a Jack Bauer flick.

I honestly don't know how a movie could be made unless they reinvent 24 altogether!

I thought it was awesome.. My jaw dropped when the president confronted/threatened Mrs. Hassan... That was some top notch acting.

Is there a happy bye smiley?

The only bad part is that Fox might replace this with a worse show.

EEK!
What a finale! Im glad that Pres. Taylor did the right thing and didn't sign the treaty. I gotta be honest, if it was me in that position, I would have signed it and moved on. She will be impeached and possibly even thrown in prison for a long time.

I really thought that Jack was going to kill the Russian President. He is, after all, the shot caller and everything happened because of him.

The end was good, but it made me want more. I don't want 24 to end...Frown

Yes, it was tremendous and very well ended by the show's producers. That was pretty emotional stuff w/ his conversation w/ Chloe about how when she came to CTU, he had no idea she'd be the one to have his back. I've never seen Chloe cry like that before. (But did she cry when Edgar died a few seasons ago?)

About the movie, I think it's already been confirmed (more or less) that "24" will be about 2 hours long. It won't be in real-time, but the entire movie will show a 24-hour period.

Here's [ew.com] more about the movie - an interview w/ Executive Producer Howard Gordon.

Yes, that was riveting. That was an awesome cat fight. Taylor's 1-on-1 conversations w/ Logan and Mrs. Hassan were incredible the past few weeks.

I can't imagine a show being any better than "24". So, by definition, whatever show FOX replaces it with will be worse. Frown

Thanks for the incredible 194 hours of "24" (including that 2-hour "Redemption" movie), FOX! Wave

spoiler alert (in case someone TiVoed it ...

I REALLY really hated the Logan suicide ... it doesn't fit the character at all ... he's WAY too cowardly ... although suicide is cowardly, there's NO WAY that character does what he does. That part was not well thought out ... and Chloe should have stuffed the disk up her va-j-j ... now that would have been hot ... then have Prez Taylor give it a lil sniff before she played it .. like wtf ...

We don't know if Logan did kill himself or just injure himself. If he was going to kill himself, I don't know why he also killed his trusted friend, Pillar. Just b/c Pillar knew the details of Logan's involvement, so what? So does Taylor, Bauer, and a few others. So that part was a bit weak, but at the same time, Logan was a desperate man who'd do anything to save his own ass, even if it means killing it. laugh out loud

It would've been nice if Taylor called Ethan to say she was wrong and needed his help. At least she told her midget assistant (what's his face).

To DWells who said Jack went overboard in killing so many "innocent" people in his quest to get revenge and the truth, I thought Jack answered that part well on how he said he only killed those who were involved in the plot. woot

I could have sworn that I read somewhere that they wanted to do the first hour unrestricted to time (ie cover days, months, years, etc) and then have the final hour in real time.

don't quote me on that though.

It's probably safe to assume that Logan is dead. With Taylor being whisked away by the secret service, she exclaimed to Tim, "I need Logan alive!" Thus, I doubt he's still breathing.

With regards to Logan killing Pillar being "weak", he did it prior to anyone knocking on his door. I believe his intentions were to kill off the man who has the most information on Logan and get out of there. After shooting Pillar, the President comes knocking on his door resulting in the inevitable from Logan.

That would make a lot of sense and at the same time be acknowledging the 8-year old structuring of the show instead of just ignoring it in order to just make a movie.
