The heatsink version also has a $27 off coupon and is only slightly more expensive.

Anyone looking to drop it into a PS5 it's probably worth getting the version with the heatsink.

Damn, I paid $120 at Best Buy a few months ago. Great price, and works flawlessly for PS5 expansion (with a heat sink)

This is exactly what I'm considering the Crucial for. Does it need a low-profile heat sink for the PS5, or will the standard work?

I would like it. I don't need it now. I can wait 2-4 weeks. I already have fast wd850 but it's my only 2tb and primary drive. I want to upgrade my smaller pcie3 drives. In 3-6 years these drives will be phased out.
Rarely have I regretted waiting to buy computer tech. This is doubly true for SSDs. I predict you'll find it (or the equivalent) at a lower price within your time frame, or you can get something newer/better at this price.

P5 Plus only has 5000MB/s write speed which is mid range Gen 4 Drive. for $5 more get A440 Pro 7400/7000 TLC Drive with Phison E18/2GB DRAM and Aluminum Heatsink

I bought my first ever ddr3600 at microcenter. It has heatsink and i think it may not be as overclockable as better more expensive brands. So far works good since winter. For sd cards or ssd i'll stick with better brands.

Just picked up 2 of the 990 non-heat sink for $40 off each. Had to do some Amazon trickery to get the deal still. Hopefully they won't cancel it. The price kept changing in my cart to the higher price and the coupon errored, but was still applied. I confirmed this is a repeatable procedure but couldn't buy more as I hit my quantity limit.

Use the old link for the $40 off deal, don't browse to the item directly, and use buy it now, not add to cart.

Can you explain what you did? I never saw a $40 off coupon. I'm guessing it's probably dead now anyways though.
