Consumer spending is down, inflation has destroyed the middle class discretionary spending money.

My motherboard doesn't come with the screws for installing nvme ssd so I might potentially have to buy that seperately. What size screw is used? Is there a standard size or does it just depend on what motherboard?
Do you have a roll of duct tape lying around?

Heads up, the non-heatsink one still seems to be in stock and has the $40 off as of now
OMG I love you. HS version won't fit in mine and I was cryin. Saw your post. It's 40 off 140 for non heat sink version. And it let me buy 2.

Two 2 tb 990 pros = 221.68 out the door.

Glad it helped! I'm still torn on whether to pick up a second for an upcoming build, or to hold off until BF (when I'm hoping to get the rest of my build parts lol)

The 990 Pro 2TB? Where? This is the lowest I've seen it.
Maybe the 980 or 970 was, not the 990 series. first time its ever been below 120+ for 2tbs The 990 1tb was 79.99, maybe they are confused with that model.

Almost in the holiday return window, you still have 30 days to return with Amazon. I'm returning the Solidigm P41 2tb I got earlier this month for this one.

Black Friday never has any real deals. Company's post the same things that were on sale for a better price earlier in the year.
Yup. Black Friday has been for suckers for many years now. The best deals, especially on storage, ALWAYS occur before BF.

Never wait if you see a good deal. Take the chance on a return if necessary, because buying early is worth it.

Now, if we can get the 4TB down to a more reasonable $225 or less, I'm in.....

2 TB? Is this NVME made for ants?

Not buying more. Holding out for the 4 TB. Slots are precious. Paying twice as much plus $40 is still a better deal than 2 TB at less than half the 4 TB's price.

Yes. And will get worse after the Fed pivot in 2024. Inflation will be out of control again, and wages will not keep up. It's that, or a deflationary crash (depending on whether Fed chooses to fight recession or inflation, because fighting one feeds the other).

But you have gotten to use it the last 6 months. That's worth something.

I actually didn't need it at the time and still haven't used it yet so it was an impulsive buy and I wasn't anticipating the price to get any lower at that point...

What's up with all the crazy deals today, Samsung OLED monitor and now this, Black Friday not even here yet!!
Best Buy started early Black Friday on 10/27 for paid members and Amazon quietly added Prime member coupons to price match.
