Google Fi is currently offering Simply Unlimited Plans at $20/month per line for 4 to 6 lines. They are also offering the Pixel 7a for FREE after 24 months of bill credits ($499 total) for new customers, with a limit of one free phone per line. Effectively, you can either buy the phone at MSRP and get two years of unlimited 5G service for free (minus taxes/fees), or pay $20/month for the service and get the phone for free. 0% financing is available for those that would rather not pay for the phones upfront and instead have the full monthly service charge.

Simply Unlimited comes with unlimited calls, texts, and 5G data (35 GB/month per line, then falls back) within the US, Mexico, and Canada. 5GB/month of hotspot tethering included per line. Google FI runs on the TMO network and reportedly shares the same top prioritization mode as native unlimited contract TMO customers.

I activated two of these in July. Waited for status to change to "activated device". Swapped SIM to my main phones and gifted the other two to my in-laws. Still getting bill credits to this day. You just have to read the terms. Sometimes it says just to activate and sometimes it says you have to use the phone for 120 days.
Proceed with caution. Google Fi stated that they would perform a soft pull to check your device financing options - but they ended up with a HARD PULL - even if you opt not to buy anything or establish a new line. Others (and myself) got dinged with this.
I called google fi about swapping a phone for another deal, the agent said that will invalidate the deal. So you have to keep the sims in the pixel 7a for 24 months to get the deal.

I need to say I agree with this statement for NorCal east bay. No way do you get same priority as TMO customers. I have no signal in many places. Whole family is on Fi. Was previously on Xfinity. Fi has no signal and I chat to see what was up. Had to send in screenshots of my signal and other things and they have a statment that they are working on getting better signal in that area.

I am waiting for a ATT deal on BF to switch out of Google Fi. I must say this has the worst service that I have tried.

Hmm I work and live on the bay, have had a few signal loss here and there but nothing too major. I do deliveries so signal is essential for me. So far I am loving Fi

I live in the north bay. Fi is great.

SSU has no service at all for Verizon and I got 5g reception. There's a few spots I get no service but it's not as bad as AT&T where there was no service damn near everywhere.

I came from Xfinity to Fi and I think there's better reception up here.

It's 35/GB per month at 5G, then everything else at fall back for the rest of the month. Google claims that 99% of customers never crack 35GB/mo, hence their "unlimited 5G" marketing.
Gotta love how these big companies get away with such lies.

If 99% of customers don't use more than 35GB, why not just (truthfully) advertise that there is a 35GB data limit and then publish the average customer data usage?

Personally I'm sick and tired of companies lying to us.

Mint has pixel 8 for 670 and 8 pro for $920. Includes year of service. Can also opt for higher data plan for additional cost.

Does flexible plan works with pixel 7a? Flexible plan = $20 per month + $10 per GB of data

The phone will work w/ any of the plans BUT if you take this promo you CANNOT switch plans during the 24 months, otherwise the bill credits will stop. So be careful here if that is your motive.

Scratch that it looks like the terms now say any full service plan, so ignore my comment.

If you are getting pixel 8 with Fi service for 400, what's the point of buying pixel7a for 500? Even though you are going to get bill credits for 24 months, by getting Pixel 8 for 400, you can trade in next year for something close to 300, effectively costing ~100 for an year (not considering line charges as those you will have to pay in either case)
Pixel 8 is 699

google's checkout is stupid. I had priced some google fi service in the past with adding 3 lines to my cart. Today, it's still in the cart with no option to delete what's in my cart. lol.. this is ridiculous

Not a deal.

$25/mo is how much unlimited costs on Visible or US Mobile so unless Fi is somehow significantly better service for you there's no reason to do this.

The Pixel 8 deal is not much of a deal unless you were planning on getting the Unlimited Plus service anyways. For me, the main perk is paying as I go as I'm on Wifi 80+% of the time.

If I pay $20 per line for say 5 lines (and not get any phone), will I still be on a 24 month contract?
You don't have a "contract"; you can terminate at any time.

If you're buying a phone - you get the discount as "24 month bill credits". If you terminate before the 24 months - you lose the discount, but can still terminate.

In your case - since you're not getting any phones - you can terminate at any time and won't lose out on any bill credits.

Typical bull shit of screwing existing customers. I've had Fi for years and always think of leaving because they just don't offer great plans IMO.

Now to give new customers a phone for cheap with service included is such a 2010 AT&T/Verizon screw job...

Fi works, but IMO Google pretty much sucks and has for a very long time... Oh well, it is what it is.
