I received iPhone 13 today from walmart..
After inserting the SIM card and activating it, I chatted with Verizon.
The first agent refused the payoff and said it would be possible in 14 days.
The second agent sent me the URL right away and I paid $299.
Then I cancel line. I need 60days for unlock.

I tried to do it with an iPhone 14 in walmart.com when I saw this deal. It asked me to login to my Verizon (I'm with vzn), and asked for permission to pull credit. I declined. I think anything with a payment plan will need a credit check.

Though this is 36 months contract , but once you activate the line, you can pay off it via chat rep or in cash in verizon store . Once phone is paid , you can cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation / upgrade fees. Wait for 60 days to unlock the device.

THIS IS NOT MONTHLY CREDITS. AMOUNT FINANCED will be $299 or $99 , depends which phone you select.

Thank you, that really helps!!!
I placed an verizon accessory order several days ago and the city came with the automatic address system was the old one and I corrected it manually to the new one.
However, I just double checked my record on experian and equifax both showing the new city name.
Did you tried again right after first time or waited for a while?
I went through the process immediately after getting that message. Fingers cross that it allows you to place an order.

I was able to pay off my phone just now by going through the toll free bot. I won't get phone til Tuesday 14th. It was ordered on 9th. Should/can I call today (12th) to cancel service to make that 3 day period before getting phone?

Not sure if I'm the only one: my order was marked shipped (Nov 10), but it's with onTrac rather than FedEx, and there's no update since yesterday (the only status is label created), and I can't link the phone number to Verizon account yet. Anyone seeing similar issue? Not sure how it's going to arrive on time by Nov 13 if there's no shipment update
Can you still payoff and cancel service before getting phone?

I called the vzw number and gave them my name, address, SSN and DOB. They looked it up and gave me. This can only be done after item ships.

So that's a good thing it's not activated yet since you're getting it late like me. I guess we're still good for the 3 day period. When does it become activated then? When it gets turned on?

There's over 100 pages now:. Going to try to provide some tips on how to do it via Verizon. I've completed this process on one phone today and started the process on a second phone. Unfortunately I didn't see the info on the new ATT SIM cards working so I have a 60 day lock for the first one.

1) You have to note the phone number, email, billing zip code, and PIN provided at checkout at Walmart. If you don't, I don't know you can change/access that info ahead of the phone arriving.
2) Your phone won't be activated till it ships. That's when the 3 day activation refund timer starts. If your phone is going to arrive late, chances are you'll have to pay the $35 activation fee?
3) Set up a new Verizon account at Verizon.com, you can do this before the phone arrives. It'll ask to link your phone number number, and then your billing zip code and PIN. Then it'll send you an email to the *original* email registered during the Walmart checkout process to confirm. Note: if you try to register your phone without creating an account first, it won't work because it'll keep wanting to send a confirmation code to your new cell phone number.
4) Once you have created the account, go to Billing -> Documents & Settings, download everything and you'll see your activation date.
5) Go to billing and find the option for autopay. Add a credit card number.
6) Payoff the device using the previously posted instructions:

I did this with two phones successfully. However, for some reason, the first time I called the bot did not do the right thing BOTH TIMES for each phone. I had to hang up and call back again, and say "PAY OFF DEVICE", and then it'll use the autopay CC to pay it off.

9. You can verify that the device is paid off by trying to pay off the device at Verizon. Account -> My Devices -> Pay off Device
10. Wait for phone to arrive. First phone I connected to Verizon, then made a few phone calls. Going to try the ATT trick with the 2nd one.
11. Call 611 from new cell phone. to cancel line. I asked them to waive my activation fee and they said that will be self adjusted later. They couldn't figure out how to do a manual waive. Anyway, gave up and said sure. After a few moments, I checked my account and I only owe $13.xx so it looks the activation should be auto waived if it's within 3 days.

Hope this helps someone, good luck!
Is this the right place to find my activation date?

Bill>Documents & receipts>Customer Agreement (View PDF)

It opens up document called Service Summary and then scroll down to see Effective Date. Mine says 11/11/2023

Can someone who ported out instead of calling to cancel share their experience? Did you get an adjustment to your billing? Prorate, activation fee, etc.,

If I can keep the number for another deal it would be helpful.

Since this is flex policy phone, you can first use T-Mobile SIM card insert , it will be able unlock with T-Mobile.
