Nice deal, but I'm waiting for a deal on the regular Ultra. This LT is the cheaper version that lacks Dolby support.

Same processor and same ram in Ultra and Ultra LT. Less features and downgraded remote for sure.

but for anyone concerned if it is discontinued or unsupported, it's still a "current" model:

"Roku is currently manufacturing these products and they are fully supported."

Roku Ultra LT appears to be Walmart specific - this may not include the pro version of the remote that includes the remote finder feature.

Does anyone know if they're going to open it up to non-Walmart+ people at any point?
Says members shop 3 hours early so I'm assuming 3PM ET.

I have been a Roku user for years...and I have multiple of this model.
Overall, I like Roku, but a little of the shine has faded.

About 2-3 times a month, I need to do a hard reboot. (Unplug it and wait 30 sec...to plug it back in)
The units can just lock up and this seems to be the only way to clear the issue.

Plex can be buggy when playing my personal media on these new units. It is not just newer files, but also files that played fine on earlier Rokus.
There is a workaround...but to need it is a PIA.

This is not a connection issue. This is not a single-unit issue. They all do it. With Plex, this is not a resource limit issue. Plex does have a few Gremlins of it's own, but they are worse on later Rokus than anything else, in my experience.

Somebody asked about The Onn 4k players. They are awesome little players. But they tend to be a little busy on the display.

If you prefer a simple layout....and I do... Rokus may be worth turning a blind eye to some of the issues. Having said the negatives, I still use my Rokus frequently.
Just know the negatives going in.

Does anyone know if Roku has updated the remotes to control your reciever volume and power?
I don't have the answer to your specific question, but I use the ARC plug on my Samsung OLED which allows me to control the receiver volume using the TV volume (via the Roku remote). My Roku Ultra is probably about 3-4 years old, but the remote is about 2 years old.

I totally agree. I'm a Walmart + member and even early access item shows up as full price in my cart. FU Walmart.

Used to love my Roku ultra interface so much that I have many Roku's on many tvs, even bought ultras to replace tvs that were Roku smart tv's……. But after getting used to one Apple TV, (screen savers are amazing too) I won't go back to buying another Roku. They are nice but man the newer gen's of Apple TV remote is smooth (older gen not so much). Not an Apple fanboy either it's just a great product
I'm looking for a Roku because I HATE my Apple TV. It locks up often and the remote sucks. I hate the touch sensitive circle control.

The new premium Rokus have faster more powerful processers and they don't lock up or reboot on me. The older models will do that and it is time to replace them.

Will this benefit me anymore if I currently use the native apps on WebOS on my LG 4k TV?

In for two! Replacing two old units that are not being updated and apps don't work on them anymore.

I was able to buy it a minute ago at this price and I'm not a Walmart+ member.

Roku will give you access to probablly 10 times more channels than WebOS.

Try doing a full factory reset of the Roku, it helped a lot for me. Since the recent update, my Roku needed almost daily reboots. But, since I performed the factory reset, it so far has not locked up on me for the past 2 weeks.

My yamaha receiver only has optical so thats why it doesn't work. Roku doesn't have receiver codes you can add like the fire tv does.

You should have at least one HDMI out. I have a Yamaha TSR-5810 from 2019 and it has the HDMI plug with the ARC standard.
