These speakers punch way above their weight.

I sell audiophile gear as a longtime side hustle and both these and the original RP600M are some of the best speakers at that price point ever made.

Depends.. They "corrected" an issue that people were complaining about with "recessed mids" or something like that.

The real question is whether you like the Klipsch sound.

Community is kinda split on this.
I have the original 600s and I have to EQ out that slight dip in the 2K area. Nice that they fixed it on the new ones. I paid 300 for the originals and love them for music. 419 is not as good of a deal, however, speakers are a lot more expensive now and speakers like the JBL Studio 530s aren't even made anymore. I would buy these if I needed good bookshelves for music.

Yes, the SPL-120 is probably the best bang for the buck, no arguments. You may have more luck finding BF prices on crutchfield, tho. Amazon is competitive, but only drops prices on stuff for BF they have partnerships with or own themselves.

Thank you, I will check, hopefully i will be able to get one.

Does anyone have these wall-mounted? My layout doesn't allow for them to stand away from the walls. If so, what kind of mount? I got the RP-8000F II last week. I decided to piece it together and am hoping the 504c II will go on sale, and really wanted that before these, but for the price I may go ahead and bite.

The 530s are no doubt better. And quite a bit cheaper when JBL puts them on sale. I plan on being buried with my 530s.
The 530s were great, but sadly are no more. JBL seems to be abandoning the affordable passive speaker market. They discontinued the 530s and have offered no replacement.

I have original ones, with Topping E30 Dac and a good amp, it amazing for the price. I would jump on this if you're looking nice budget sound.

Oh wow, I didn't realize they've completely discontinued them now. It was fun while it lasted! The JBL 5 series were a stupid good value. I'm amazed by them every single day.

Yes you can wall mount them.
Since they are rear ported you need to try to give them as much room as possible.
Ideally a good 24" should be good.

i dont mind getting refurbished. But I may get them now used for over $400. Much better than my 3.1 soundbar.

Stick to subwoofers from SVS, their speakers look nice but aren't competitive. For speakers, catch the Elac DBR62 when they're on sale for less than 500. They are far above the Klipsch in terms of performance and you'll probably never feel the need to replace them as there's hardly any room for improvement.

I've been waiting for the DBR62 to go on sale for the past 2-3 months. Still running close or at $700.

How would rate 530s against these? I have 590s and like them a lot. I also have an opportunity to get a used pair of 530s for a very good price. Wondering if there are any better than those 530s.

These are a lateral move.
They're only better if you prefer their sound over JBL.
If you like JBL a lot, no reason to switch.

A drawback is the 520c is a significant weak spot, getting a substitute can be a challenge.

Yeah I got rid of that center and replaced it with Klipsch rc-7. That matches very well with 590s.

Anyone have any knowledge on how these would compare to the KEF Q150 (on sale for $349.99)?
