I've never figured out why certain cereals like this one and Quaker Oatmeal Squares are so high in iron. I have to remind my husband not to eat too many bowls of these. His idea of one serving is a lot bigger than what the label says.
Is this considered a "healthy" cereal? Seems like cheap and plain cheerios have the least sugar among cereals. Lately I've been having quaker simply granola even though high in calories so I limit myself to the 67 grams serving size

I'd say it's not terrible but I'd still prefer a cereal with less than 1 tsp of sugar per serving (4 grams = 1 tsp) while still having decent amount of vitamins and fiber. According to Chex's site this has 6 grams of sugar per serving which is 1&1/2 tsp. Walmart's site says this has 7 grams of sugar which is 1&3/4 tsp. Original Cheerios has 2 grams sugar.
However Walmart's version of Cheerios, Toasted O's, says it has 0 grams of sugar. I'd probably go with that.

If you have an Acme near you, with the digital coupon the chex cereals are $1.69 this week (through thursday). Safeway has them for $2.47 (again you have to clip the digital coupon).
