Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

Anyone not familiar with the sleazyness of Tracfone should read the last iPhone 11 deal. 50 pages of the same bullshit including the same bootlickers

you have issues. I've used them on/off for years and along with TF. Best you stay away from their outstanding deals. You can get the same phone from Verizon for only $429.

Ordered today around 7:30 am EST and I have received a shipping notification email from ST. We will see if I actually get it.

If we're displeased with TracPhone (and by transitivity, Verizon, who owns them), is the best way to express this by shorting Verizon's stock?
Hopefully you're not slicktomorrow, Financial Planner

Personally, I would refuse delivery or return to sender unopened and marked as "delivery refused - return to sender". That should trigger order cancellation once received. If you have any issues receiving the refund after a week or so, just dispute it as not received. Credit card companies are usually very good about taking care of problems like that, but no need to jump the gun and start assuming problems prematurely.
Great to see you slysol, so many veterans here in this thread lol.

So with 20% restock fee and return shipping fee I feel its not my fault to take on these fees due to st not discounting se & plan or simply cancel order.

I feel I should just simply dispute after cc clears pending and after the se unlocks after 60 days. I know I might be on their list but I am not too worried about future deals from st.

ordered today morning with the plan...and they just shipped it

so forget about orders without plan

what sucks is - they gave the option of skipping the plan....now they are cancelling orders....asking ups not to delivery...too much

I'm scared to order again since I have two orders in limbo.. I assume they will cancel them but knowing my luck they'll ship it all or something stupid. It's weird how they don't just cancel the orders they don't want to ship. Like I ordered one with a 35$ plan but yet that one isn't shipping either.

you are very lucky because millions of us still have not received it yet
I know, I was very surprised it was delivered this morning. I figured there would be a recall before loading on the truck.

I pulled up a VZ chart and it looks so bad that it'd be risky shorting them at this point.

I don't really care for ST, personally, but to be fair... there was a popup on their site after ordering that said due to the deal popularity orders may take 3-5 days to ship.

The flippers who were trying to order 5-10 phones without plans probably caused all shipments to be reigned in.
ordered 2 with 2 line discount to save $15 this morning. they shipped it a couple hrs later. already got my shipping email with tracking number. now i need to find $200 to pay for this bill LMAO

i think any order with the plan would get shipped for sure..my order with the plan ordered yesterday is supposed to deliver today...and it does not have a status saying returning to resender......

funny thing is ...all these returns from ups would go on sale again in 2 days Smilie

I just chatted with a st agent. I have Two orders of one phone each both with plan in Remote fulfillment since Monday afternoon.

He flat out told me he doesn't have access to the warehouse and I should just do a credit card chargeback.

Payment is pending. Once it posts I will do a chargeback.

Cuz more people would be concerned that how come so many cancelled orders. It's not good for company's reputation although they have none here. I only hope they refund properly instead of forcing us to dispute with bank. It's the first time I order with this brand but personally wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends or families

Paypal payment status: POSTED. The order was placed Monday evening, should I charge back?

Wasn't the red also on sale, so isn't it a website glitch (product page shows both colors have the promo)? If so, and you still want the phones, I'd ask them to adjust the price; if they refuse and won't let you cancel, you can dispute the issue with your credit card company (either to get the price adjusted or, if you refuse delivery, to get the full refund).
Yeah its $49 each and silver plan $45 2nd is $30. I actually called them to adjust the price but they said they can't and I said cancel then but that is not possible either. I do want the phone. If I refuse delivery then its 20% restock plus return shipping.
