Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

Then they should not charge you if they are not going to ship it but charges have posted and orders with plans are stuck in limbo too
They should not leave an order open in limbo regardless if purchased with a plan or without . On Monday they allowed you to purchase phone on their website and skip adding a plan, without any tricks. So I get it, if it was a glitch - they should not charge and cancel order within a day or two if they don't want to honor a mistake which was clearly the fault of their website
Yeah, I don't understand where some of these folks are coming from.

Not only did ST allow people to purchase, but they have now charged the cards without shipping out the phone.

It's super scammy.

If the price was a glitch and they don't want to honor it, that's fine. Cancel the orders. But never should they allow the payments to go through and then sit on the orders for a week+.

That's a good sign that your cc was charged!
No, it isn't. I've been charged for 2 orders. One that I'd placed initially without any plan, and then a second order I placed with the bronze plan after it became clear that the no plan orders were going to get cancelled. I placed both orders on November 6, and as of a few hours after those orders were placed, it's impossible for me to check the status of these orders. I go to the website, I enter my order number and email, and the webpage just refreshes. I've tried on phone and pc, with and without extensions enabled, it always just refreshes. Clearly, loss prevention has cancelled these orders and I won't be getting those phones. And yet, when I called yesterday, the rep just kicked the can down the road because "It's only been 4 days since the order was placed, and orders ship within 3-5 business days". Needless to say, I will be calling next week and demanding refunds. If straighttalk fights me on them, I will chargeback.

you should not take advantage of their system since beginning.
You're replies are idiotic. No one is taking advantage. They had a sale. It did not require a plan on their website. Its not taking advantage if you go through the normal process of ordering. If people had to do tricks like have two browser windows open, then yes, that is taking advantage but that was not required. There were no tricks. Again, my original OP is clear and my points are valid , as is the post of the other people you are giving unhelpful replies to.

phones purchased with plans have not been shipped either for many many people

ST is messed up. They should process orders in order of receipt, regardless of whether they ship or cancel. They should not charge people for items not shipped

You are wrong!

forget abt it

my phone brought to my door by ups guy and then said, sender asked to return....
Kinda funny. Maybe not you, but what where all the hustlers planning to resell locked phones? Weird to me, its just such a hard sell, need 1 month to get the easy unlock, still under normal price seems good.
I was on the fence about wanting to spend $100 for something that I didnt really need, but for another ipod, I couldn't say no. But I also knew this deal is one of those 'fark ups' from the start.
Does anyone here actually think you can produce or logistically sell even a 5 year old phone for $50? Yeah we can play business math and say its not so bad because x y z--- but its almost like a 100% loss for somewhere in the chain.

I ordered 1 phone wed morning with plan and its still remote processing. Some other poster here seem mad but I don't see problem waiting a week or 2. 150 pages + 3k comments + Deal is dead online. Along with the "no plan ordering error". There is a internal review of ever single order going on right now. Someone in the marketing department is having some bad days for running this promo/not preparing it correctly.

This deal probably hit #'s that are like their total yearly online orders; or something stupid in a few days.. Before anyone cared to even look or stop the robots from adding hundreds of stock every AM and sending orders.

It is not the imei, it is the service plan pin.
I am in the same situation with no luck for the last 2 days.
Try to make a call or text to see if the phone is active. The plans are linked to the phone at checkout.

If you text PHONE to 611611 it'll give you your phone number and service dates.

If walmart has it in store but cannot activate in store, would this deal still work?

This is true. I texted UNLOCK and PHONE in separate response to the same recipient and I got exactly what I needed. This is AFTER I purchased the phone AND the plan that got activated by the non-Walmart phone associate at Electronics department. Heck, the receipt shows it.

Hello! Yes, in store only now. Earlier we were able to get it from straight talk's direct website (not Walmart.com).

In store you can get it for 49 with a minimum 35 unlimited plan. Yes, you need to activate and use it a bit in the first month, keep SIM card in, and not even renew the second month to have it be unlocked after 60 days. Just don't take the SIM card out before 61-62 days, and turn off auto renewal when buying if they make you sign up so you don't pay for the extra month by accident.
Hi Shajeel! I wanted to follow up and share my experience here in case it helps others.

I drove to my nearest walmart that had this in stock and i acquired 2 phones for ~$96 each.

Will use the first month plan and then put them away and hope they unlock 2 months later!

Thank you once again for giving me some info!

My local Walmart rep said they don't have stocks but when I go online it's available to pickup from the same store in a few hours. I'm not sure which one to believe.
