Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.
So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.
Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

If you placed your order on Monday, many of those orders seem to have hung up and nobody knows what's going on with them at this point. The orders placed after Monday with at least a $45 plan seem to be going out, but they're not always fast with shipping. If you ordered a phone with $35 plan, some have gone out, but some may be hung up and there haven't been a lot of info about those yet.

Got one Friday at Walmart, didn't give me any issues for the deal except their paperwork said minimum plan being Silver which is $45. $106 out the door including tax. I assume they activated in store because all I had to do when I got home was put the sim card in and do initial setup. Texted unlock to 611611 and showed unlock date 60 days.

Went back the next day and they still had plenty so I got another. Made me do a new account though, said their system wouldn't accept the email address I used Friday because it was already in use. That one also worked fine after putting sim in and shows unlock date 60 days (January 10th and 11th).

Since they have plenty of stock and they had me use a different email address each time I assume I could get as many as I wanted (1 at a time).

Two of the phones, one SE and one Samsung, I tried says not valid. I entered the iphone 13 and they are valid. I checked the SE imei multiple times, does not accept it. Something strange.

Their reps are completely clueless and won't cancel polices or issue refunds. That's why he told you that to get you off the phone because he's not going to do anything about it on his end, which has been mentioned repeatedly in these threads. Orders which have been canceled or recalled from their end do get refunded, although I'll avoid using a ridiculous term like "always" since I haven't placed "all" the orders they received and logically have no way of knowing what percentage of orders are refunded automatically.
Ok not all, 99.99999%

I got one today from store, the clerk said it's activated, does it mean i can keep it sealed and unlock automatically after 60 days?

I've seen people who have received their refunds from canceled orders in previous threads. There was a huge problem with many people not receiving refunds from botched orders on one particular thread (the iPhone 11 deal), however it's not always the case by any means and silly to go filing willy nilly credit card disputes unless there's actually a problem. There's certainly no need to wait 60 days or something crazy, but giving it a week from the recalled order just makes sense.
No it doesn't make sense to waste time dealing with them when you can just spend 1 minute to dispute it, and make it cost ST for their stupid behavior
