Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.

So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.

Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

Get up to $830 off Apple iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, or 15 Pro Max via one-time trade-in credit and 24 monthly bill credits when you purchase on a monthly payment plan and trade-in an eligible phone on a new line of eligible Go5G, Magenta, ONE service.

It needs Go5G, Magenta or One UNLIMITED plans.
I've never played with this before. So, if I don't need another line, I'm basically getting $830 in bill credits for 24 months, paying $240 for the extra line over 24 months, paying $100 for this phone.

So, $1,000 (new cost)
+ $240 (new line)
+ $100 (this SE deal)
- $830 (trade in)

= $510 (plus some tax) for the new Iphone?

Long time lurker first time posting. This is a great community.

I follow the wiki and got one phone at Walmart on 11/11. Everything went well except I think the WARP Rep at Walmart typed my email wrong so when I tried to request password reset on straight talk web site, I got an error message. I called Customer Service/Supports and had them to change my email address but I still don't receive password reset emails either initiated from the Support or via the site's forgot password link. Does anybody have this issue? Oh, the Straight Talk Support told me to wait 48 hours and try again.
I would also try disabling background app refresh in settings unless you need it.

I ordered a phone without plan on Monday morning. I contacted st today via a phone call. A st representative checked a different system internally, and said the order was cancelled on Monday (one hour after my order) and early today the payment has been reversed. They said wait until tonight to see any refund shown in my account. The reason of the cancellation is because of shortage of the device. However, the st order status page still shows "Pending remote fulfillment". They said st order status page has some delay compared with their internal system. Hope I would get the refund soon.
Update:
I waited until Monday, Nov 13 (a week after the order), but I don't see any refund in my credit card account. Therefore, I finally submitted a dispute to my credit card company and also filed a complaint to FCC. I wasted my time and efforts with some stress. I will never deal with st any more in the future.

Refunds never are given on your credit card after only a week of your purchase. It is usually like 3 weeks. You were better off to actually communicate with straight talk to see the status of your order. Straight Talk is clearly bombarded with a billion orders. Delays happen sometimes. I even get delays on some Amazon purchases from Amazon. I had to wait over a month for my spray paint cans to come. I had to wait a couple weeks for a bike. People are going a little bit crazy about not receiving their phone in 1 week. If it isn't an "emergency" where you have no phone to use, just give them a reasonable time for delay shipping. 5-7 days of not receiving the phone isn't so crazy.

* If I don't get tracking update soon, I am going to wait to Wednesday or Thursday to call with customer rep.

* If you wanted a refund, I am sure it would be way faster to receive it after talking with straight talk rep than filing dispute with the credit card company.

What's the trade in value of these?
$2.85

I wanted to be Smart A so I thought what about trade in back to ST and literally had to go through few questions to see the value at the end.

We need to find a trade in/port in deals with iphone 13/14/15 with cheap plans for couple of months to be profitable with this debacle.

Why won't it be disabled? They don't enter any payment info into the WARP system.
They entered my email wrong as well. But I can't see how they could have auto-pay set up. They activated thru warp, and the only time I used my Credit card was at the walmart register, not the Warp computer. My phone is activated and the unlock date says January so I guess I'm good to go and don't need to worry about the email or ST account.

Mine is showing Verizon as the ISP when run speed test. The carrier indicator on top left says TFW.

The irony of standing in Walmart and having this $49 ad on all the TVs but still no one who knows how to make this deal happen. The banner near the phone display showed $99 but the TV ad and the website showed $49 after activation.

I spent 2 hours in my local Walmart as the wireless rep wasn't familiar with doing straight talk transaction.

Passing this one in case it helps, once they generate the bar code from the Warp, my person was having issue cause she'd bring that to the walmart register and it would only show up as "special order, ST 35 plan" and not the phone. Then she'd scan the phone UPC, which would show $149.

After much back and forth, we figured out needed to scan the WARP barcode and then scan the 2nd barcode on the phone, not the top UPC barcode, and it showed up as $49.99. Total after tax for me was like $99.
