Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.

So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.

Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

Ordered a black and a red on Wednesday 11/8 and then ordered another black later that day with a different email/credit card.

Red was shipped later that day and was deliver on Friday.

Both the black ones are in state "Pending remote fulfillment", credit card has been charged.

Am I ever going to get these or should I process a chargeback with the CC/PayPal?
Thats strange, I ordered a black with a plan on Wednesday and that shipped on same day and arrived on Friday.

I know i am lost with the amount of comments, was there any instruction for the device not activating after buying the phone from walmart.

The electronic dept was useless and could not take return. I had to contact the ST CS but they asked me to send email to [email protected] with all details. No response yet. Any other ideas worked for the activation?

The irony of standing in Walmart and having this $49 ad on all the TVs but still no one who knows how to make this deal happen. The banner near the phone display showed $99 but the TV ad and the website showed $49 after activation.

I spent 2 hours in my local Walmart as the wireless rep wasn't familiar with doing straight talk transaction.

Passing this one in case it helps, once they generate the bar code from the Warp, my person was having issue cause she'd bring that to the walmart register and it would only show up as "special order, ST 35 plan" and not the phone. Then she'd scan the phone UPC, which would show $149.

After much back and forth, we figured out needed to scan the WARP barcode and then scan the 2nd barcode on the phone, not the top UPC barcode, and it showed up as $49.99. Total after tax for me was like $99.
Can you confirm what is warp code or what is warp ?

I got off the phone with a rep. She is pretty much telling me that it is pending and it will take 1-3 days and to "check online for my status". Haha. It felt like she was on the chrome browser straight talk website and just telling me the info that I am already seeing.

I will wait the 3 days and see if the status changes. If not, I will cancel my order with straight talk rep and request refund. What is giving me hope is that the black iphone se 2022 is still available and being sold online even thought at $99+plan.

If you bought the phone and plan from walmart with this deal, it should be automatically activated at the walmart store. The employee helps with the activation process. If it wasn't activated at the store, I would assume you could just activate the phone online at straighttalk with the "activate" tab.

It really depends if the Walmart has the WARP computer system to activate the phone. I went to a "Supercenter" first (Everett, WA) and they said they don't do activations there and that the Lynnwood store does. The Lynnwood Walmart is not classified as a "Supercenter", but it did have the WARP system where they create and activate the phone, then ring you up and pay for it at a separate register. The Lynnwood store also had a designated Wireless employee that was much more familiar with activating phones. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.

I've never played with this before. So, if I don't need another line, I'm basically getting $830 in bill credits for 24 months, paying $240 for the extra line over 24 months, paying $100 for this phone.

So, $1,000 (new cost)
+ $240 (new line)
+ $100 (this SE deal)
- $830 (trade in)

= $510 (plus some tax) for the new Iphone?
It depends on the monthly fee for the extra line. Some plans cost $25 or more per line. I doubt any unlimited plans that are qualified for this promotion would only cost $10 per month for adding a line. Only old non-unlimited plans, for example simple choice 2GB plan, will be $10/month for adding a line.

So if you don't need an extra line, or don't have an old line ready to cancel which you don't care about its phone number, this promotion is not worth it.

I called and checked on my phone only and phone+plan order on Monday, both canceled according to the rep even though the site says pending remote fulfillment.

The people who bought the phone Monday morning with the $35 plan or without any plans will not get their phones shipped. A small percentage of those got shipped were held back and returned to sender. So there is no reason for them to ship them now just to play the return to sender game again. Besides, all of their orders are supposed to ship between 3 to 5 bossiness days. We are now in the 6th day so those Monday morning orders will never get shipped. The decision we have to make now is to decide whether we should wait for them to refund or dispute with our credit card company to get our money back. If we wait, it might take a month or longer to get our refund or might never get it. If we dispute, then we will get blacklisted and we can never buy from them again.

They are clearly just making stuff up. I talked to two reps. One said it was canceled and refunded yesterday. The today they told me it would be shipping by Thursday. When pressed she admitted she sees the same info approved payment and pending remote fulfillment that we see.
Yep … their reps are notorious for having absolutely zero useful information. It seems like some of them may have learned that saying something (anything) with confidence will get people off the phone. So some people get "oh gee, looks like your order has been canceled" while others get "yep, your good … we're going to get your phone out in a few days" or "I'll expedite your order". Boom … customer off their back for a few days at least.

have you tried their screen protector? someone here said there is no hole for the front camera.
No, I haven't tried the screen protectors. I recall seeing a decent review of it at one point, but don't remember anything mentioned about any effect from it covering the camera. It's clear and minimally thick, so I wouldn't think it would cause problems, but I suppose there could be certain lighting conditions that might cause an issue.
