Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.

So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.

Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

I ordered with $35 plan on 11/6 and it's been pending remote fulfillment for most of that time. I never contacted ST deciding to wait a bit. I just checked my credit card (PayPal didn't show as an option when I ordered) and I see a pending credit. Logging in still shows order as Approved but I assume it will cancel.

Thankfully I decided to order with $45 plan using a different account on 11/7 and that one I received and activated last week.

I just got off the phone with straight talk and he said that my order with the "pending remote fulfillment" has already been canceled and that it would take 3-5 business days to get on my credit card. I asked him why it isn't showing up as canceled in the status and why I don't have any email confirmation of any cancelation. He said "Don't worry. It has already been canceled.".

I guess I will wait a week and hopefully it goes through. My local Walmart that I bought one still has it in stock. Do I dare try to buy another one? Ha. I want 2. I don't want to buy 2 and then have a 3rd shipped out to me later.

Watch me buy another from Walmart and then I have activation issues and need to contact customer service again.

The A15 chip is a beast but the battery life is just abysmal. That's why this phone isn't as popular as you would think. I'll buy a portable power bank to lug around if I can manage to snag one of these at my local Wal-Mart.

Yep, I recall seeing similar resolutions in past threads as well (except maybe the iPhone 11 debacle, which was a bigger mess than usual). There seem to be a lot of people intent on continuously calling, but that has generally been pretty pointless, with little to no improvement in results. They really have absolutely no clue what's going on with orders there and you can probably call back after you already have your cancellation and refund and still get the exact same buffet of various answers that your order is still pending, on hold or whatever else they currently spew.

Just checked my bank account, got a refund pending from Straight Talk. Ordered on 11/6, phone only, still shows "pending remote fulfillment".

When you bought it, the rep activated it, that's how you were able to get the $49 price (plus tax). Sounds like something with the activation didn't go through. You might have better luck getting the in-store rep to fix it than calling the ST number is seems.

DP I ordered phones only 11/6. It stated approved last several days. Called ST and they put in ticket Tuesday evening. Today I got notification of pending credit to my card.
