Got my order for 2 phones delivered today, and got them both activated to start the countdown clock on the unlock. For anyone who bought one just to activate for the one-month plan you purchased and unlock, the easiest way is the automated phone service (the online process wasn't working for me):

1) 1-877-430-2355
2) Press 2 to Activate Device
3) Press 2 for a New Number
4) Follow voice prompt to enter IMEI, ZIP code, create PIN, etc. When asked by the prompt if you want to "add to an existing account", say "No". If you purchased a plan with the phone, it will recognize this and automatically activate the SIM for the plan.

When the voice prompt tells you to power on the device, the instructions were incomplete and unclear. If you've never activated a phone before here are the steps:

1) Attached to the box for your phone is the associated SIM card in a pouch; remove and punch out the nano-SIM.
2) Using the SIM tool in the iPhone box (or a small paperclip), pop out your SIM card tray and insert the nano-SIM.
3) Re-insert the SIM tray into the iPhone and power on the phone.
4) Go through the setup process; I recommend connecting to WiFi when prompted to make things go faster.
5) Your phone should be activated within a few minutes of being powered on with the SIM inserted, assuming you went through all the steps in the automated phone activation.

So no luck at Tega Cay, SC Walmart. They did have at least 2 in stock. The guy was nice looking into it for 30 mins or so. He finally found out the Walmart had to have the WARP system for in-store phone activation so call up or local Walmart to ask if they have that. He mentioned the store in Rock Hill, SC on Dave Wylie had the WARP system.

I'm not going to waste my time going there, but thought I'd help others. Be sure to call the local Walmart you are going to, ask if they have the phone in stock (both stores said online they didn't have stock, but both stores did have them in stock) and ask if they have the WARP system for activation. Good luck everyone.

Yes done it three times now. Use it a few times with the straighttalk network for a few days first though. Text, call, browse then 61 days later unlocked.

Can someone help me out? I brought one two months ago to unlock and give as a X-Mas gift.
How do I get it unlocked? I paid for two months of service with tracfone ($10 plan). I never opened up the box, as like I said its an X-Mas Gift. How do I get it unlocked? The Tracfone account shows the correct IMEI. I had to submit an unlock request two days ago, and just did another one apparently. I'm lost on what to do here lol. I'd rather not open the box if I don't have too.

According to sickw.com it still showing IMEI Check Locked Carrier: 2360 - US TracFone/StraightTalk Locked Policy Sim-Lock Status: Locked
Phone has to be activated on network at least once for unlock counter to start. Then it would unlock after 60 days. You need only one month of payment for unlock.

So their fcc team emailed me with this.

"for the promotion started on 11/06/2023 to get an iPhone SE for $49. This offer is currently only valid at a Walmart store, where it can be purchased and activated.

We reviewed your order and can confirm that a refund was processed on 11/16/2023. It might take 3-5 business days to verify the credit posting. You can contact your financial institution to confirm."

So apparently my order made on 11/6 isn't good because it is now only available in stores at Walmart. So basically they held people's money for 10 days or so to let it get interest then refund it.

Main issue being that website states you will not be charged until items are shipped. Getting charged right away by their own terms is fraud.

If you all aren't filling complaints with the FTC, FCC, and BBB you are just letting a crooked company get away with fraud. In fact as some others have mentioned it really should be a class action lawsuit.

There is still no pending refund on my card today. Are they forcing us to do something?

my order from 11/7 for 2 phones (with the $45 and $30 plans) was shipped but it was returned back to sender after ups picked it up. The order total was $185+ (incl tax) but now i am seeing a refund of $102 only. Not sure why it is a partial refund. no restocking fee should be applied as it is not a return, it was returned back to sender by themselves. not sure how can i get the full refund

anyone else facing this partial refund issue?

I could be wrong, but if you never opened the box, turned on the phone, and activated the phone, then it's not activated.

"To bring your number, our Mobile Experts can assist you at your nearest Metro by T-Mobile store."
Whats the cheapest Metro plan you have to get for the deal?

The phone itself has to be activated. I don't see how the 60 unlock countdown could start if the sim is never put in the phone.

I got two phones that unlocked 60 days after sim activation without the need to power on the phone. OP said they have activated it on TF. It may not have been properly activated for the purpose of unlocking if the phone was originally a ST or Total by verizon phone.

I see 2 potential problems.
By leaving the box sealed, the easiest way to check that the countdown clock is actually running cannot work. (By texting a request for a clock check from the phone in question.)

And, even if everything is running as anticipated, the phone won't actually unlock until it connects to Apple's servers after the required 60 days. So gifting a still-sealed box means you cannot confirm the phone is actually unlocked.

As to whether or not the 'sealed box' method should work-- I have no experience, although some folks have reported success. I'm just certain that you can't confirm success until after the box is unsealed & connected to WiFi for a bit.

ordered one on 11/7 with $45 plan, never shipped, got a full refund on 11/17.

This was a really good deal, can you imagine that you could get a powerful iPod touch for just $100?
