Some of teamgroups are not bad. Look at TBW. Vulcan z was one of them. 1600 tbw. This is one that's on the extreme low end. Not bad for the price though.

SSD/nand prices are expected to go back up (for really reals this time). Probably shouldn't wait to long to buy one of you need it

What we should buy then? Can you suggest any that's not made in China?
He must be thinking of his Apple products. Like his iPhone, iPad, MacBook, etc.

Oh wait, all made in China. Guess he needs to toss those in the trash too.

I'm not a big fan of Team Group and would flat out avoid the Vulcan Z. Of the SSDs I've recently tested, the Vulcan Z was the only one to experience rapid, severe performance degradation. If you want to go with Team Group, I'd prefer the CX2/AX2 line.

Also, TBW is NOT a good way of comparing SSDs. The number is for warranty purposes and not a good indicator of drive quality or longevity. Additionally, most people will never come close to it, during the drive's useful lifespan.

For cheap SATA drives, prices have already gone up. Some of the drives I've been watching are almost 50% more expensive than a few months ago.

Expected to go up by whom?
I think it is only a nand manufacturer's day dream, I have never seen any sillicon product price go up in the long run. small and short bounce at most.
This article thinks so.....
https://www.digitaltrends.com/com...-increase/

Some of the Chinese stuff is great. It certainly is ubiquitous, especially electronics. Thank you corporations for taking business out of country in the name of personal profits.

Some Chinese stuff is OK > middling > crappy > to invasive and awful. It can be a trial sorting out the particulars.
Lexar WAS a brand name, bought out, quality plummeted for awhile as I experienced it with some flash drives. It may be getting better but with other products that have a better track record being in the same price range I tend to go with those. After awhile the 'bargain' simply is not anymore. It's just a hassle.
