The Hisense 100" U8K, while still out of stock, is now showing $3500 on Best buy. It's definitely a better set based on rtngs.com. it beats the model above this TCL as well. If you can find one in stock or wait a bit, I would definitely recommend holding out for that unit.

Not trying to thread crap on this deal, it's a decent set as well, but if you can find one, for $500 more, mini led plus thousands of dimming zones in the hisense unit seems like a better buy.

This is becoming wild. I still haven't upgraded from a 50 inch TV and every time I look for a TV the prices for bigger ones keep going down lower and lower. If I wait a year I might get a 140 inch, haha.

I've been keeping my eye on the u8k 100" and still see 3999 everywhere. Is the 3499 only local?

Actually the growth of large to larger TVs has been really slow. I bought my 82" from Samsung in 2018. It's nearly 6 years now and not many options for TVs larger than 86" and the few we have are still very very expensive. In 6 years we couldn't go from 82 to 100

I probably couldn't even buy this if I wanted to. It wouldn't fit in my room. 77 inch is big enough. 72 inches when I owned a projector was the biggest I could fit. Also, there's a certain size that is big enough for me at a certain distance, TBH.

The Hisense is in stock at Amazon right now for $3999 (Walmart and Best Buy are OOS). I posted the deal last night. Between this TV at $2999 and the Hisense at $3999, I chose the Hisense as it is 2" larger and significantly higher quality (1600+ local dimming zones vs no local dimming on this TV).

Concerning a $3500 price at Best Buy, it was never in stock at that price and raised back up to $3999 within a day or so.

Google tvs are the buggiest I've ever seen, had an 85" Sony with Google OS that I was ready to throw in the trash. Luckily I was able to sell it and get a LG Oled.

I'd still like to see a giant tv that is affordable but with Roku or another OS.

I'm having a hard time choosing between this TCL 98" and Hisense 100" for $3999. Is the MiniLED and more local dimming zones worth the $1000 premium? Also can anyone confirm if the TCL works with Apple AirPlay? I didn't see it in the specs . Thanks
