I just got one of these in the last month. For context, I also have a Miyoo Mini Plus and a Steam Deck. This has definitely been my go to device for PS1 emulation and below. Much more comfortable to hold than the two other devices for retro games. It's not quite pocketable, but it's been an amazing experience at home.

N64, Dreamcast, PSP and DS have all been a decent experience to a degree, though I would look for a more powerful device if those systems are what you are really after.

Actually, it seems the RGB30 is a better device - more portable; no loud click sound; overall a fantastic handheld experience with the 1x1 screen. might go for that in instead

Honestly I don't get the market for this kind of device. Retro arch runs well on android; why not just use an old phone with a wraparound controller like a razer kishi or a cheap Bluetooth one from temu?

So I got the coupon code figured out. You can only apply the coupon with one item in cart. I had also added a screen protector and case which would not allow the coupon to apply. I have a question for the crowd because my internet search led me to these two options. Would the rgb30 be a good choice for a 6 year old? I saw where people said the x55 would not be a good option.

An all-in-one dedicated device, for me, does several things:
  1. Keeps from having to put a full phone and capability in my kids hands
  2. Fixed cost - lower than getting a controller + a phone at this price point
  3. Keeps me from handing my personal phone to a 7yr old

Is this a serious response? If so, I appreciate the input, but you referenced one item that is twice the price and need additional purchases to be useful and another that is a home based console, not portable like what the post is about.
