For those that may require 32GB of RAM, Lenovo did not release such a version for this year's model. Instead they brought back last year's AMD model which was initially discontinued in February.
The Intel slim 7 proX has now been promoted to the slim pro 9 as many manufacturers are putting Intel on a pedestal as their exclusive flagship model. (Like HP Spectre, Dell XPS etc.)
Here are the differences between last year's and this year's model
2022 Slim 7 pro X 14.5":
Zen 3+ 6900HS
120 Hz screen
RTX 3050 4GB, 128 bit bus
32 GB RAM Soldered
No USB4 (extra USB-A port)
No HDMI
2023 Slim Pro 7 14.5"
Zen 4 7840HS
90 Hz screen
RTX 3050 6GB, 96 bit bus
16GB RAM max Soldered
USB 4
HDMI

I have this bad boy and it's very nice. Got it open box on sale from BestBuy months back. Many compromises for this form factor compared to some of the larger LOQ and other brand laptops in similar price categories but for good reason.
The build quality is superb and it's fairly capable across the board. Modern features and fit and finish. Checks just about every box competently. My must haves were:
QHD screen with higher refresh rate
USB-C PD Charging
USB4
Small size/portable
Good keyboard feel/layout
Gaming GPU (entry level accepted)
16GB DDR5 RAM
Ideally latest gen processor
It met my needs. It's not really beatable unless you pay twice the price.
How good is this laptop? How does the processor compare to Intel? And how much gaming can you really do on it? I like the price and the weight, I just don't know how much I'm compromising
Since the moderators didn't merge this thread with the other one for the same laptop, I'll post the Lenovo perksoffer link below that lowers the price to $808.39.
I'm sure it's not a deal breaker for most, but keep in mind that this is 3.5lbs. I was tempted to upgrade from my Dell Latitude 14", but it's an extra lb and I only use the laptop for travel, so that probably doesn't make sense for me.
