Any reason this is a bad deal if I'm already planning on staying with ATT the next 3 years and my iphone 12 is paid off? Looks like I'm getting the iphone 15 free + $300 gift card with no change to my bill

As a new Verizon customer (new number also), my status says shipped, but the phone number is not recognized by Verizon as activated... i think activation date will be when i turn the phone on for the first time.
It also means i can't set up an account yet, so any kind of payoff before receipt is impossible.

Can you buy it at any Walmart? Or only specific ones? How do you check inventory?

ATT
Had ordered online for delivery and just received iPhone14. In MyATT was able to pay off completely. Have not yet opened the box nor activated it yet. Iphone 14 is showing up in MyATT app with a subtitle below it "Eligible for Unlock". Any way to do an Esim swap so I don't have to break the box seal? I have an unlocked iPhone 13 to swap to.
Your next option to swap the IMEI is chat or call CSR, they can manual swap the eSIM for you by input the IMEI of the iPhone 13 into their network.

Once the sim swap is done you can try the unlock request as non ATT member. If it's not go thru could be that the iPhone 14 need to activate and register in ATT database. It's all theory but you can try that.

You suppose to submit as Non ATT member.

The whole idea of disconnect the IMEI out of your current account so it can bypass the 60 days requirement.
Because if you submit unlock as ATT member, you will not pass this condition as your newly created account

Paid off early: The wireless number assigned to the device must be active for at least 60 days. Wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit your unlock request.

No, I chose non-ATT member and added my IMEI
(you cannot add IMEI if you choose existing customer, which I didnt do)

Hmmm… when you go to store, did the rep did anything to the iPhone ? I don't think they remove the IMEI out of the database. Do you still keep the eSIM card kit that the store gave you ? It should have the QR code in it.
We can try these two

1. put the eSIM back into the iPhone 14 , make some call to ensure it's on ATT network, then swap that eSIM back into the s22. As long as you have the QR code you can swap eSIM freely between the 2.

2. Submit the request as ATT member, and you do have to put your ATT phone number in. I have low hope for this since it's new account, but who's know, sometimes it work

Just to confirm, you haven't cancel the services yet right ?

This is not a bad deal at all if you are currently ATT customer and plan to stay 3 years. but most people is already on another carrier or their monthly bill is very low. It is not financially sound to open another line with ATT and pay $65/month

Rep in store did not give me QR code. She did everything. I was suspicious because she asked for last four of my SS# that maybe she canceled and reinitiated account because so I called ATT and checked with customer service and customer service said that everything looks fine

I can redownload an eSim to the current phone but once I transfer back to iPhone I wont be able to transfer back to Android without going to store again, I don't think

So I tried twice today on the unlock, once I put primary IMEI, second time I put esim IMEI - both times they identified the phone as "iPhone 14 Plus A2632 (WWK w-S)"

I am not sure if I should try again today - I think I am going to be stuck with ATT for the month as today is last day to cancel within 3 day policy - also a bit worried about the Walmart GC as that is more important than the unlock

Yeah may want to try for that $20 monthly discount att wireless + internet if that's your internet provider. You have the credit card special as well ($75 off 2 payments or whatever) so you're still good.

dont worry about Walmart GC. the GC belongs to you and the only thing that can affect it is if you return the phone to Walmart. Their system is not connected so Walmart doesn't know that you cancel the services with ATT. this deal been on for a while and bunch of people did this deal last year and GC still belong to them even they cancel the services within 3 days.

i dont know why the rep would remove the IMEI of ATT database. Normaly when the phone turn on and activate, the IMEI will register in ATT network and it only get removed if you decide to return the phone within 14 days. it would be much easier if you have a QR code of the eSim.

it is easy to transfer from Android to iPhone but transfer back from iPhone --> Adnroid requires QR code.

if you want to try. Transfer the eSim back to the iPhone, then make a couple of call, text. make sure it appears on myATT again. then go back to store and ask them to give you the QR of the sim instead of doing it for you. then we do the eSim swap again. it is a lot of work so maybe wait till tomorrow and try to submit the request again as ATT system will lock you out for 24hr if you got 2 denied on a row.

If you tried all and doesn't work, use the chat on MyATT, then talk to live agent and told them you want to swap device. They are willing to help and all they need is the IMEI of the unlock phone so they can manual put it in the system for you .
I did one like this at first on my phone

Did tech customer services be able to walk you thru the step ? I thought s22 support eSIM and all you need is download it.
Sonia the deal to transfer the esim from the Walmart deal to any unlocked device? Do I need to make a call first on the new ipohne 14+ before transferring/swapping esim?

Walmart shows sold out for AT&T iPhone 15 pro max. Chatted with a CSR this AM and said that they may add more inventories. But nothing so far.
Any tricks?

TLDR - YES, apparently it is possible to stack the WM GCs and the Verizon $830 or $1000 TIs if you are right Verizon plan(s) and are willing to wait 36 months for the credits.

I'm in a situation where I'm being forced to move from a grand-fathered ATT plan to something on the Verizon network due to lack of AT&T cell coverage in a recently purchased home. I have been waiting for BF deals and have been planning to get a Trade In deal from Verizon similar to offers they have run in years past.

I went back and forth over the last few days on whether to attempt stacking the WM GC deal and the Verizon Trade-in (plus eventual number port CB), just go straight to Verizon for either the $830 or $1000 CB per line, or try to find a Costco in driving distance that sells Verizon service to do a 800-1000 TI CB + Costco CG.

So, after scanning through 2000+ posts on last years WM BF thread as well as another ~1000 or so similar posts from more recent threads, I decided to attempt the WM CB + Verizon TI CB stack.

Early this AM I went to a local WM that I knew had the phones in stock I wanted to purchase. (I talked to local wireless manager Wed night about inventory across his 4 stores.)

I bought two 15 Pro Maxes and a 15 pro this morning. They rang up each phone (taxes) separately. I got emails w/ links to individual $300 GCs within minutes of checking out (and them activating) each phone.

To give my self a back out plan (cell phone return) if the Verizon direct TI's options didn't work out:

1.) I requested new phone numbers rather than port immediately. (I now have ~15 days to port my ATT numbers.)

2.) I left the GCs unused rather than using 2 of them to pay down 2 of the phones. They assuming I would want to pay down two of the phones, but mentioned use of the GCs would block me from returning the phones. (Seems like there would be a way around this, but I didn't want to argue the point... and I didn't want to make a potential return any more difficult than it had to be.)

They activated the phones in store, made test calls, etc. I also had to create a Verizon online account in store as part of the first phone activation.

I chose to place all three phones on the middle tier unlimited plan which I believe is a requirement for the special - $830 any iPhone device trade in. The top tier (Unlimited Ultimate) allows for up to $1000 TI... but the math didn't work out for my situation and I didn't need the extras of the UU plan.

Once I got home, I went to https://www.verizon.com/trade-in and signed in with my new VZ account. I scrolled down to the trade-in options and went through device selection to trade in an iPhone 6, 6s plus, and 7 plus but ran into problems.

After a phone call with support and working through various issues, I ended up with 3 separate $830 CB offers.

While work through issues with the TI process for 3 old iPhone:

1.) I found out that each trade in had to be completed separately, end to end. I made the mistake of trying to add multiple devices to the same offer, which yielded nearly no credit for each additional older phone added.

2.) There was an odd lower left menu button I had to click a time or two and also needed to read/agree to terms of the trade in before the TI process was complete for each phone / TI offer.

3.) I also found the device condition process can get hosed up / stuck if you go back and forth changing device condition options. (One of my trade ins had a battery and screen issue... I wanted to see if I could get by with self repairing one or the other rather than fix both or trade other newer spare Phones. For this TI, I had to sign out, try different computers, etc. and eventually used a different PC to clean out an in progress "device trade in" in my "cart". In the end I was able to select the option for damaged screen only. If I had spent more time on it, I might have been able to select swollen battery also... but it was easier to just order a cheap replacement battery from amazon and swap it out. The battery had swollen so much that the top of the LCD / face of phone had separated from the phone nearly and inch while this phone was in storage... so much so that one of the ribbon cables for 1/2 of the LCD was torn.)

Also worth noting - Per info in other threads - You don't get the full TI options I mention until you have logged into an account that has these offers available to them... and brand new accounts with brand new lines of service do qualify... at least they did today for my situation.
Have you submitted trade-ins before or after porting in numbers?

Edit: Also, during the trade-in process, there is no place it asked me which line the credits should be applied for? How will the system know which line to apply what device credits?

i would open the box, turn on the phone, go thru the process and make a phone call to register the IMEI with network before i do the sim swap. if you want to keep the box unopen for any reason then i am not sure if the eSIm swap would work
