Yeah, been locked out for 72 hours until tomorrow. Not sure if the in store sim transfer affected this 72 hour lock

I have not tried it with iPhone to iPhone though with that method . I really do not want to get a friend involved if I dont have to . Just will complicate things in other ways. When I originally tried to transfer from my iPhone to S22 it wanted to send me a sim or QR code by mail
You tried the process and it didn't work (it locked you out?). This is an ATT process with phones in same room, doesn't say iPhone required. Give it a shot if you want.

If you want to create a dummy apple account and share over pm I'm happy to do the remote eSIM swap.

Actually if the iPhones are logged in in the same apple account you can simply swap over the internet Smilie. The first time I did this way and not in same room
Wait does it mean if he gave me his ICloud account, I log in to my unlock iPhone. Then how do the process start ?
When I did mine I only see 2 option
Transfer from nearby phone or QR.

Did anyone order Verizon iPhones for multiple lines online? Any information on how to do it and whether trade in works with this or not?

I could not wait the 72 hours so I went to store and transferred my number back to the iPhone 14 Plus. I came home and it showed on account, it even says on plan page, unlock eligible - however when I click the link and enter the number it says can't unlock because it has not been active 60 days

Store rep said he could not give me a QR code for when I want to transfer back to my S22, he claimed by generating a QR code it inactivates current phone - whether or not that is bull, I have no idea

So next step is to try and transfer back to s22, I am going to wait at least until tomorrow before I do it though.

I realize both of you have been very active and helpful in this thread. I will rep both. If you noticed that someone else resolved the "not in database" error please lmk

Thanks.
I am in the exactly same boat with you. I got a sim card for my s22 from store. Now I cannot unlock my 14plus, I really don't want to go back to store to swap it back. But can I do now Lol

With IPhone , there is eSim transfer with wireless near field communication, same way you can share wifi passwords -sadly it does not work between iPhone and Android - when you go to the site and put in the IMEI of the new phone it recognizes it as Android and offers to mail you a sim card (either physical or QR for eSiM) - I think I messed up because I tried to download sim a few times thinking it would generate a QR code but it just replaces the sim on the already active phone , and I think the repeated times flagged the system

Has anyone been successful unlocking when transferring out of iPhone to Android instead of iPhone?

Yes, not found in database error. I have att Internet service, so I almost gave up and will stuck with them for 60 days. But I am concerned that it will be same situation after 60days

That's true, as long as you don't scan the QR you did not start the eSIM transfer. So idk why store doesn't want to give you QR code.

Unfortunately the phone does need to be next together. Maybe this worth to try, go to Apple Store, take one of the phone they have in there and see if you can try the eSIM swap. But you need to remove the eSIM of the Apple Store iPhone after you done. I recommend you watch the iPhone eSIM transfer before you attempt to do it.

Also just a note for the transfer eSIM start, your iPhone 14 need to have passcode.

I was just looking at the confirmation email of the sim swap in store and realized the ATT store is an "authorized" retailer, it looks exactly like a corporate store - had no idea. I wonder if this is why they did not give me QR code, I bet the store does get commission from ATT when they service customers with tech support

Retailer store just look the same but they are actually private store, they do not have access to the ATT system like corporate store.
Even if you buy phone at retail store you can't return at corporate store

That's why people who submit trade in at retail store have so many issue

Well, learned my lesson the hard way. Had I known I would have driven the extra 15 minutes. In fact, I went to lunch near the mall which has corporate store.

Cellular, add eSIM, transfer your phone number (transfer from another iPhone). Perhaps the unlocked iPhone needs to initiate this..

I thought the phone transfer eSIM via wifi or Bluetooth and they have to be close together. I didn't know you can transfer eSIM across city via iCloud. I know in your case is across room so maybe there is a glitch to do it thru iCloud

I was on different wifi networks with the phones far enough away that they cannot reach each other. I believe the eSIM stuff is an exchange through Apple servers anyway (when you're logged into the same Apple ID anyway). We would have to try it remote to see if it works over the Internet. I can try tomorrow with 1 phone at work and 1 at home.
