Requires AT&T service and phone payment plan. You may want to include that in your title.

The VZ agent also told me I could request an unlock after paying off the final bill. We'll see if that works
Didn't someone here try that just the other day ?

Does anyone know if the s23 is still available in stores? Wife needs a phone badly, and this is the best option for the s23 it seems.

Yes they said their request was denied, but i'm thinking because the billing cycle wasn't complete. Once you payoff the final bill, and the next billing cycle runs and the system "registers" a fully paid off bill, then it clears the device to be unlocked, but that's just my guess. No background with Verizon here.

I got my order shipped today (12/01) and it says expected arrival is (12/5). As we need to complete unlock and cancel process within 3 days to avoid 1 month plan cost, do i need to finish that step within 3 working days or not? Can somebody please clarify this? Thanks.

If it's Verizon it's fine. You can cancel before you receive it. Then boot with a Verizon mvno eSIM (tracfone or total wireless or straight talk). You'll unlock in 60 days post activation.

In fact, it seems it takes some time for Verizon to unassign the eSIM from your phone after cancellation, so you can try just booting the new iPhone once you get it and see if it activates.

With AT&T I advise keeping the line active since the eSIM swap/unlock doesn't seem to work for a lot of people. You can try once you receive the iphone and just eat the cost of the 1 month (max 2 months) of service.

Picked up the ATT iPhone 14 pro from store and got GC.
Now I get this weird error vorcc02 while setting up passcode on the account. Chat/phone agents asked me to wait 48 hours.

Without this setup, I cannot set the payment mechanism and payoff. Anyone in similar boat?

I just called Verizon to waive the activation fees, other than that I'm in the same boat, purposefully. Why try to payoff the phone separately if it's going to come through on the final bill anyway. Just payoff the final bill and good to go. The agent also told me I could request an unlock after paying off the final bill. We'll see if that works
Finally got through customer care, they helped me cancel the activation fees and other charges. However he charged me agent fees of 10$ which is fine but it was not told to me earlier

Negative, I ordered on the first day too - they said up to 20 days, hoping it would be sooner

I am still waiting to hear back for the ticket I opened the other day about the "Device Shipment incomplete" "Database" and "Still active on account " errors- they are supposed to get back to me by today

I am on the $60 plan, is there a cheaper plan I could switch to for next month?

Did you follow the streps in the community wiki? It sounds like you didn't swap sims to an unlocked iPhone.
Yes, I followed all the steps and was able to unlock 1 out of 2 phones. For the second phone, it is asking me to wait for 24 hours since I had too many failed attempts. Can I still request unlock even after the account is cancelled? I don't mind using the locked phone for now since I am going to use it with at&t prepaid anyways.

I have had the worst experience with these inept reps. Opened up a new att account and asked for an initial email which the area manager said it doesn't matter in this first screen because the egift card screen would appear after purchase. Long story short the egift card was attached to that random email they input. Now I need to return the device and cancel the line to open a new line with a new device and hope I'll still get the egift card because att may not grant me the credit for another device.

I wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone else.

I tried the eSIM swap trick and it didn't work. I bought Iphone 15 pro on a new ATT line, once the line registered on my account, I paid it off. Then I swapped the new number onto an unlocked phone. However, this was a phone that was previously on the ATT network. Then, when I went to submit the unlock request, it gave me an error saying I needed to wait 60 days.

However, I then put the new number into an unlocked Verizon phone. I waited a couple hours and submitted the unlock request and it went through right away.

I have no idea if this mattered at all or if it would have cleared up anyways, but just wanted to point it out in case it helps.
I am trying to transfer att line esim from new ipnone 15 pro to unlocked iphone 13 pro.. but I am not able to do so. can you help me with the process. thanks
