this thing is cheap and safe enough that i would recommend it for anyone looking to get into home fitness; set it up, see if you work out regularly, and then make improvements to your setup as your needs grow. five years ago, i started with a $200 fitness reality 810 xlt, and now i'm the strongest i've ever been and have a proper 6 x 3"x 3' power rack.

this looks nearly identical to the Amazon Cap Barbell FM-905Q, which i got on Amazon for $120.61. This is $40 in savings, and I'd say go for it unless you want a full cage rack. It's a great starter rack with a built in pullup bar. I'd recommend getting the safety catches for this rack, which are sold separately. If you are looking for a rack cage, which is more safer and is rated higher, I'd get the BalanceFrom PC-1 that also shows up on SD on sale for $170.

Not bad when paired with a $40 set of spotter arms, but you'll outgrow it very quickly. It's a hard sell when you can get something like this for $300:

I agree and especially if you start looking used on FB market place. I found a $1000 rack with pull-up bar, weight holders and many more features for free in like new condition. They just wanted it out of their house. Also see them all the time for $100-150 on FB

That's what I ended up doing. Fitness Gear half-rack for $100. I had a rack like the one in this listing before. No comparison. I'd previously picked up a ~$600 rack (that ended up too big for my space), 300 pounds of Olympic plates and two bars for $250.
