I've been following this thread because I'm in the same boat as a couple of people on here. I have the plus subscription from last year for Netflix and mine's going to run out on the 14th I've already canceled it I dug around on the site in the terms and here's the fine print I came up with and it doesn't mention anything about getting rid of your current phone plan and having to upgrade to a new one you just have to be a current Verizon Mobile customer and to make sure that your old plan is canceled or has ran out without being renewed. Here it is:

If you have an existing Netflix account that was not purchased on +play, you can link it to this offer as described in Netflix service terms below. If you are currently enrolled in Netflix through +play, you will need to cancel your current subscription and reach the end of the billing cycle in order to subscribe to the Bundle Subscription. If you are currently enrolled in either the "Buy one, get one free" or "12 months Netflix on us" Netflix promotions offered through +play, you will not be eligible for this Bundle Subscription until your current Netflix promotion expires.

Offer ends on December 28 according to the terms. Good news for those of us who have a little time left on our current subscription.

Once you activate Netflix, it stays active until the end of the year Sub, whether you have Verizon or not. I did this deal last year and switched to FirstNet months ago. Still have Netflix until next month. just make sure you turn off auto renewal.

Why nobody talking about getting nba premium pass + netflix. Not a lot of nba fan? Or bad deal? Thx
I did it last year, and it was great. This year, I used a student promotion and then canceled when the team I am season ticket holder for gave us the year foe
r free. The NBA app is garbage, though. I wish I could use it on YouTube TV.

I bought Paramount+ with SHOWTIME directly for a year in Aug using their 50% off discount. It is already canceled but expires on Aug 21, 2024.

If I buy Paramount+ through +play would it stack the time or would the Paramount+ subscription be wasted. Could I wait to activate it until August, while using Netflix?

It would appear so I read through all the terms twice and I think we'll be fine I'll know more for sure after the 14th and I'll post it back here.
My NFL+ Premium with 1 year free Netflix deal for $24.99 last year was the ultimate deal, and my subscription end Dec 17. I already cancelled the auto renewal.
So do I go in and subscribe to any of these new deals on 12/17 or 12/18? What happens if I let my Netflix subscription lapse for more than a day or so? Will my Netflix account history and saved shows still be saved when I reactivate it?

It won't let you stack. Just tried.
I had an account with 3 months P+ remaining, and when I tried to add this, it said I can't.
So I made a new account for Paramount+, since what I really want is Netflix.
And Verizon won't let you redeem Netflix billing until after you have activated Paramount+

Think of this as a bill credit and not a "code". So, if you wait a few months to activate you will miss on the bill credits, and it doesn't carry forward like a "code" would.

I'm still hoping that somehow those of us who got a year free last year with NFL or whatever will be allowed to get another free year with purchase of something but I'm not optimistic.

I have the STARZ/Netflix deal for $74.99 for the year until next July. Anyone know if there's a way to shift it from STARZ to Paramount+ w/ Showtime and then be charged the difference?

From everything I've read to this point, you should unsubscribe from your "Netflix Premium. On us for one year." plan now. It will stay active until your deal expires (it will tell you the date, December 16th for me).
Then come back and get this new deal.

So I just clicked the "Unsubscribe" button and then it asked to confirm with a "Cancel Subscription" button on the resulting dialog. Said my account would remain active until Dec 16th. And it also said this about Netflix:

"We'll save all of your account preferences and details for 12 months in case you decide to reactivate the service."

Now I'm setting a reminder to come back on the 17th and get this deal!

I'm one of the people who has Netflix free after the deal last year. I cancelled NFL and Netflix a couple of weeks ago about after hearing of this year's offer.

Tonight, in Verizon UP (in the app), there was an offer for a year of Netflix Premium free with purchase of 1 year of Paramount. (no other purchase options were listed). At the bottom of the fine print, there was a CLAIM button which I clicked. A page then popped up telling me to text BOGO to 8911. In response to that, they texted me a link so I could take advantage of the offer. Unfortunately, after following that link, it said i wasn't eligible for the offer Frown

I will note my free Netflix from last year is still in effect. Maybe I'll try it again after that expires later this month.

I got tired of raising prices from everyone. I just use Stremio now. So much better and cheaper. It's $18 every 6 months. For all the tv shows and movies you can think of. Reddit link below how to get it.

Darn it. Purchased Paramout+ and Netflix Premium bundle so that I can cancel my current Netflix and upgrade to premium Netflix. Only to find out that I already have Paramount+ from my Walmart+ subscription. Now it does not let me activate it and seems that Netflix can only be activated after Paramount+ is activated?
Good luck. Months ago I subbed to a similar Paramount+/Netflix-on-us deal. I was never able to get the Netflix part activated because they claimed I hadnt activated Paramount+ first (I had) and Verizon eventually canceled the purchase after me spending maybe 40 hours on support calls and chat trying to resolve the issue. Last month I tried the AMC+ / Netflix-on-us deal and now AMC won't acknowledge my subscription through Verizon. I've had a support ticket open with them for three weeks now. Verizon's integration with these streaming services is horrible, and their customer service is nonexistent.

Couple of questions. It sounds like the old offer has to not only expire but the account must be cancelled. If that is the case, it sounds like there is no way to salvage the profiles and history from my old account, the new offer will require a brand new account (and therefore I will need to set up new profiles fresh on that new account, no chance to port over saved history). Is that correct?

Second, if I cancel my old account now, will the service remain open until the end of the term (mid December), or does the account deactivate immediately?

Thanks in advance!

if you are paying for extra members in Netflix plans, this doesn't work for you. you can still link your existing Netflix account to the provided Verizon Netflix premium offer but it will remove the extra members on your Netflix account. I've not found a solution to this problem yet. I have two extra members in my premium plan and Verizon said they can't refund the bundle. They asked me to get in touch with Netflix support instead.
