This is a really solid deal for an unofficial Chromebook Plus model. Acer finally fixed their awful speaker issue with this one. The screen is gorgeous. Yeah it's a little big for travel. However Xbox Gamepass works great on this (slap in the face to former Stadia users). The only thing beyond the size is the lack of old school usb a ports for peripherals. The screen is great. Can't stress that enough. Oh yeah when this first came out a little less than a year ago, it was $649. This still will get updates I believe until 2031. So yeah it's a very very solid deal if you want a very nice machine with a cool keyboard, great screen, and a solid value. I've never been burnt on Acer Refurbs.

120Hz 2560X1600 12th gen is god-tier web browsing device. Like forget about the silly gaming claims and think about the absurdly good web performance this thing has. Smoooooth scrolling.


Edit…uh this has full Borealis support..you can run Steam via a Steamdeck-like proton layer on this. Like legitimate local gaming.

I have never had a CB that didn't have a touchscreen, and I use it so infrequently that I could live without it.

BUT there have been many occasions where a click was not properly recognized from the trackpad or mouse, and in those cases a tap of the screen worked. I don't know what causes that to happen, but I worry that without a touchscreen as a backup, I'd be stuck.

Off the top of my head, I feel like the T-Mobile Tuesdays app is often a culprit. I think it tends to happen most often (or maybe in every case) with an Android app rather than a website. Has anyone experienced this on a CB without a touchscreen?
