This price is only $500 more than was available 6 days ago at B&H photo, so not bad. (*cough)

Looks like that deal is still live today, BTW.
Because the B&H one was version 1? (a guess, I don't know)
The YouTube video titled "The Samsung Ark 55" Is BAD" by channel "UFD Tech" is what officially sealed the deal and killed my interest in this item, which I had been casually watching for months
Samsung doesn't pay for Dolby Vision licensing because it would be detrimental to the future of HDR10+, if it even has much of a future left. With that being said, HDR10 on a Mini-LED panel is quite impressive. I can't wait for Micro-LED to become more common (and affordable). Once we reach the era of Micro-QD LED, OLED will then become the new "plasma" and eventually fade away into obscurity.

That is the old version of the monitor. This is the new version with my main complaint fixed - multi-input.
What's the difference between 1st and 2nd gen? I think LG Flex is still a better product than this although smaller screen.
The LG flex is a much better product. Somehow people here seem to equate screen size with quality…it's absurd. This is basically a nice VA panel for entirely too much money. I looked at this vs the a few LG OLED monitor panels…LG, hands down. OLED hands down. Burn in…doesn't really happen unless you absolutely abuse the screen (I've owned OLEDs for years and currently have about 7 of them…no burn in on any of them with about 10hrs a day of use). I also have some fairly new VA and IPS panels…there's just no comparison in image quality, color depth, response time, etc.
Smaller OLED > Larger VA panel, all day, everyday.

I got this a pre-release item from a review program. I use it as a tv and xbox monitor. It does have a few quirks but the only really important thing I have to say is it's HEAVY and on it's own special stand. No mounting it to anything else. Picture isn't as good as my Sony A90J but better than the 43" Samsung I had been using.
I think the value of this product can display four inputs at the same time.
I'm a video editor and I'm working on PC and MAC at the same time.
I'm comparing it to a similar LG FLEX 42-inch model. I don't think I have an alternative, as I have to look at more than two input screens at the same time. If you have an alternative, please let me know

You can already do this with software tho. Look up Synergy or Mouse without Borders
