I thought I could connect it to my mesh wifi that has huge range but it can only connect directly to the base station. The S220 (2k version) can connect to wifi OR the base station. The S220 can only record to the base station if it's directly connecting to the base station and not connecting to my mesh wifi. That was despite getting a reply from them in the question/answer section that it could connect to wifi and not the base station. They gave me a $150 refund on the 3 camera system that was the same price as this time.

I have the base station wired to a mesh node (wireless backhaul) in the garage. I put a USB fan (using the USB port on the base station) above the base station because it gets hot in there. Cameras are facing the street.

I still use it and it's pretty good but the dual lens 2k cameras with zoom and tracking seem like you can get better detail on moving objects. I'm setting that one up this weekend.

Not sure what OPs situation was, but mine was the opposite. I had a problem with one of my cameras and they were quick to replace it. I sent them an email to start the process and it was a smooth process. I was very happy with the turnaround time and results.

One of mine locked up. Customer service helped me troubleshoot. Ended up sending it back and Amazon sent a replacement a day later.

Hardware is decent but they hit you with ads in their app very chance they get. Quite annoying. I'll be looking for alternative when it's time to change out mine.

Is this among the best out there? I'm looking for a 4k security camera system without a mandatory monthly subscription. I've heard Arlo is good, but I haven't found a clear cut best system. This Eufy one looks good to me, but I'm no expert.
