I bought this during Covid for a ton more money and returned because it was sooo hot. For this price though, this is a steal, i7 and 3080 for $1000, never thought I'd see the day
Even if switching out fans for quieter ones or modifying fan arrangement? Unless CPU and GPU fans were the culprit, it should be fixable.

This is a heat machine. You will have to change the case. After, that it will be fine. Good deal.

Yup Corsair 4000D or 5000D would be the perfect upgrade. Lian Li LANCOOL II or III would work too
Only a seasoned expert should even consider a case swap, and even then it would void the warranty so why even bother at all? Not a good idea imo.

You need a whole new case. I have this in 3070 and it's great. Just change the case with a bigger one with more room and add a few good fans.

So quieter case fans, and even adding additional quiet case fans would not make it a lot less noisy??

Maybe replace side panel if there's something that fits and has room to add quiet case fans...

Replacing the whole case is far too much trouble and it would be better to just buy something else imo.

For most people, something like this might be a better option for $700:

https://slickdeals.net/f/16995529-cyberpowerpc-gaming-desktop-ryzen-5-5500-16gb-ddr4-1tb-ssd-rx-6700-win-11-699-free-shipping?v=1

Out of stock, but good example. The RTX 6800 is a beast though, and is even more powerful than a 6700 XT. Above links to a regular 6700.

If cooling is an issue why not do a case swap. Been a while since I shopped for a case but I used to find good deals for $50-$100. But that might void the warranty or whatever or I understand some people don't want to do that when buying a prebuilt.
The whole point of buying a prebuilt is to not mess with the PC. you want the PC to just turn ON and work.

The Main 5500 processor creates a major bottleneck is my understanding

During covid "some" people would buy these and sell the 3080 for 1500 and have a free system.
