Copy and pasting my thoughts from when this came around a few months ago:

We found it to be OK. It's a pretty light deckbuilder with some good ideas, but the game doesn't work a little too often for our taste. It's really swingy and games tend to have one player just run away with the whole thing. If you're not familiar with deckbuilders, you play cards from your hand to generate resources, then use those resources to buy better cards which get added to your deck.

As a competitive deck builder, it often ends up just being a race to whoever buys the first card that costs 6 or more (the big boys - Luke, Vader, etc). Whoever gets the first one of those pretty much always just keeps extending their lead so there's not much reason to keep playing after that.

The cards available to purchase are limited as well - 6 available at all times and the Rebel player can only buy Rebel & Neutral cards, Empire player can only buy Empire&Neutral. If one player ends up with only 1-2 cost cards available and the other player has 3-5 cost cards available, they really have no chance.

It's not a bad game (thankfully its quick) but more often than not it just feels like you're playing a game that's per-determined by the initial shuffle.

We probably got $15 of enjoyment out of it (I paid closer to MSRP), but its not one that will last on the shelf much longer.

Disney's Star Wars is superior anyway. Was a dead franchise before they took over. Sequels were decent, but Mandalorian. Kenobi, and Ahsoka were all great, not to mention Tales of the Jedi and Visions.

If anyone is familiar with and enjoys the deck building game Star Realms, this is very similar. It has some fun, key differences in how you track victory conditions and are able to defeat cards from the trade row to prevent your opponent from buying them. There's a force balance that plays into abilities you may or may not have each turn depending on the current balance meter.
I paid MSRP and still am quite happy with it. This is a solid deal.

Just wanted to chime in and say this game is fantastic and at $15 it's a no-brainer. If you like deck building and star wars, it's as good as it gets.

At least you can buy it, unlike Lorcana.

I see Lorcana being discontinued in a couple years. Distribution has been a disaster with it despite Disney having so much money.

How are you going to talk about Disney's Star Wars and NOT talk about Andor? Andor is probably the best thing to come out of the Star Wars franchise since the original movie. It's nothing short of fantastic.
