Using the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal as it's meant to be used, your maximum savings is 33%, assuming you buy three items that have the same price.

Although the deal (and Amazon) say the game is regularly $37.99, my Target cart implies Target regularly sells it for $30.49. At $18.29, that's $12.20 off or 40% off. So this is a better deal than the standard B2G1 free deal, and you don't have to buy 2 additional items you might not want just to get the deal.

Got this from Target earlier this week and got a play in tonight. The asymmetrical two player focus of this one definitely gives the game its own niche above just being a retheme of other deck building games.

Really great game for a lot of fun games. It is not very deep though, which to you might be a good thing or a bad thing.

I'd recommend. One play and you'll get the hang of it straight away.

I did a quick search and this may help you understand the concept of a deck building game.

Never again, Fantasy Flight, after what they did to Star Wars Destiny.

Played this game at a convention earlier this year and really liked it. Seemed like it would have a lot of replayability.

$19.26 now on Amazon (close enough for me given how much easier Amazon is)

Almost pulled the trigger until I found a review indicating there's some imbalanced cards, and you can "cheat" them into your deck. The worst thing that can happen to a game is if you solve it or if there's a broken mechanic you can exploit, basically ruins the fun.

The detail is in this game you can pull a base of your choice when your previous base is destroyed. The quote from BGG review: "This means when one of these powerful cards comes out early game everything grinds to a halt. Neither player wants to progress the game by killing the other player's base because they'll immediately switch to the planet that will give them the OP card, giving them a major advantage. This is a huge design flaw."

I don't agree with this. You can then just destroy their OP base. Not a big deal.

It's not the base that's the problem, the base allows you to purchase any card for "free", enabling you to be able to purchase a card earlier than normal and gaining a large advantage for that stage of the game. Maybe there's additional nuance but it sounds problematic from a balance perspective.

if this is part of a Flight Games collection, where are X-Wing, TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, X-Wing Alliance

I read amazon gave away the most recent space combat game, does this package at least have that?
