Thanks for the heads up. I found it at another store. I did not realize the batteries are 200 dollars a piece if you buy them alone. Maybe they just want us to get into their ecosystem.

I mainly wanted the blower for when i have something to clean up and i don't want to smell like exhaust from my stihl the rest of the day.
All powertool batteries are over priced. They want you to buy into a kit and then lock you into the system by making you buy "tool only"

Ryobi 40v system won me over on the grounds that it's only ecosystem that has an auger. I used that thing to dig 9 4 ft deep holes. no other system has that tool. Best 450 bucks I've ever spent.
That's over 112 bucks a hole!

No.... 9 holes, each 4 ft deep. Ain't no way in hell I'd dig that by hand. And I get an auger I can use to dig holes for planting shrubs and trees!

I see that now. I just didn't read. It's only $50 a hole.

This thing good to dry cars? I have hard water and I don't want to use my plug in blower. If I don't beat the water it will show hard water and it's a pain to get rid of it later.

Initial impressions of Ryobi 40V and this kit:

You are definitely buying this kit for the weedwhacker. It's carbon fiber shaft makes it pretty light and it is the expand-it model which is a big plus. It comes with the 2 blade attachment as well which I like for my tougher SW weeds. It's lighter and much stronger than the crappy 18V model I have only because it was an edger back when I needed one. This is an excellent model and worth the price alone with the battery and charger.

Having the Toro 60V flex blower with the same CFM and MPH specs as this blower makes me not so impressed. It is quiet compared to the Toro and it moves leaves, even wet ones, decently. For comparison, the Ryobi on Turbo is the same as the Toro before pressing turbo. Turbo on the Toro will blow the gravel out of your yard if you aren't careful. I have a 6Ah battery for my Toro and I can blow the front and back yard, with a lot of turbo use, and usually finish with it on it's last bar not blinking yet. I finished my front yard only with the Ryobi 4Ah, with limited turbo, and it was blinking dead as I stopped. For most it might be a good blower, but I find it underpowered having the Toro as a comparison.

I'll be looking to upgrade to the better Ryobi blower when it is on sale again. Definitely need more batteries as well. They aren't even close to the Toro in longetivity. I ordered the 5Ah from HD that is cheaper than the 4Ah so hopefully it lasts better. I also picked up the leaf sucker thing on sale for $149. I haven't been able to get rid of my Echo blower/sucker because nothing electric compares, but it's so loud to use anymore that I'm trying to find a good alternative.

I concur with this assessment of the blower. It's underwhelming and I suspect only gets to 600 CFM on turbo (and turbo is what you'll expect, coming from a basic gas blower) - and then it will sometimes shut off and go unresponsive for a minute or few. I assume as a battery safety measure? And it's not light.

All around not great.
