This tool set doesn't come with the case. It come with case, if you buy this model "DeWalt DWMT45226H 226 pc. Mechanics Tool Set w/ ToughSystem Large Case". The model "DeWalt DWMT45226H" look like it's using case "DEWALT TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 Tool Box DS300 Large". That case is normally price about $85. I found the best price sale right now around $60 without shipping cost, but you could pickup for free near by store.

Ordered two sets from Amazon and both boxes arrived ripped, beat up and bulging in the centers. Opened them up and there were sockets and broken tray fragments all over the place. 5 out of 6 trays were broken and I was missing two sockets in one set and 4 sockets and an extension in the other. I would make one good set and return the other, but they trays are unusable.

Anyone know if the Rigid 2.0 Pro Gear 22 inch case will fit the trays these come on?

just checked with the previous rigid version of that case and all three trays fit with about 2" clearance from top

You have this [homedepot.com]box?

When you put the socket trays in, I assume there is a decent amount of space left in the box? Enough for a deep tray [homedepot.com], maybe even ashallow tray [homedepot.com] too?
While not the 2.0, I have the Toughsystem 1.0 XL toolbox (DWST08204). The three socket set trays fit with space for the tray that came with the box (about 3 inches deep) with about 1.5 inches between the bottom of the tray and the socket tray. I can use the screwdriver tray in the back of the toolbox too. I had to put the bottom socket tray in and then install the screwdriver tray.

Gotcha, thanks. I ordered a Toughsystem 2.0 XL with a deep tray, I took some measurements and think these sockets will fit below the tray with some space to spare. This is a great setup for me -- can't really have a permanent chest set up at the moment, so I can keep all the new sockets and some auto-related tools I already have in the same portable box.

got mine today, all trays are in perfect shape. The only thing that annoys me is tray 3 is higher than the draw i plan to keep it. so I have to spend time moving it to another larger drawer to fit it in. It surprised me that tray 3 makes 1/4 deep sockets( shorter than 1/2 deep) lay down and waste so much space at the bottom while 1/2 deep socket standing makes the tray so tall. if they change the layout between the 1/4 and 1/2, then the tray has less height and fit perfectly into the smaller drawers in my tool chest.

I probably will ask my cousin to 3d print a new tray 3 for me so it can fit better in my drawer, I hope his 3d printer is big enough Big Grin ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

God mine today, one of the most complete tool set's I've ever seen. I don't understand the need to have so many of the same sizes, but whatever I'm happy.

Mine came in a cardboard box with the 3 trays inside. My trays were in good condition but the tools were all over the box so I had to reorganize about 70% of the tools into the trays.

Leadership as in non-union managers or the union reps not doing well either?

I know everyone hates HF but they do have those rails for cheap af all the time on sale, like a dollar each and you can mix and match whatever. Just an FYI if anyone does go that route.

Received today and one corner of the trays was damaged. Some of the deep sockets were bounced around, but everything is there. I have Hart tool chests to unload them into, so not worried about the damaged trays. Might go with HF socket rails, might find something else.

Hopefully someone sees this and confirms before I do, but I have a box coming over the weekend and can let you know when it arrives, if nobody else does.

I have a Harbor freight 5 drawer rolling toolbox. These tray lips can be trimmed and they fit perfectly with several combos going in multiple drawers and locations.

I like that they added an extra lip all around each tray for what seems to be this purpose.

Mine arrived upside down but everything was fine aside from a few fingerprint marks on the sockets...

I believe the lips are so the trays slide into the Toughsystem boxes nicely. Now that you mention it though, I wish every socket set had this option! Seems like a great use. I guess most of them want you to buy into their proprietary storage system, though.

Same in my case. 2 plastic cases are broken. On contacting seller they simply asked to return.
